Staff - nice Upper management - not good Front desk - smells weird Room - nice Breakfast - missing items because the managers didn’t purchase what was necessary

My visit to Macon was under difficult circumstances, as I was traveling from Texas after the unexpected passing of my mother. Given the urgency of the situation, I chose to drive rather than wait for a flight. I decided to stay at Comfort Inn & Suites West because it was conveniently located near my family. While I typically stay at Marriott, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, well-appointed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—just what I needed after such a long trip. The bathroom was also modern and spotless. I stayed for over a week and also arranged for several out-of-town family members to stay here. The front desk staff went above and beyond, making accommodations and ensuring we were comfortable during our extended stay. Their kindness and professionalism made a challenging time much easier to bear. I’m so grateful for the hospitality we received, and I’ll definitely be staying here whenever I visit Macon in the future.

The room and facilities were clean. The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator and a nice TV. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was normal hotel fare. Check in and out was quick and friendly.

Very disappointed in this hotel. It was not clean, elevator floor dirty with litter and dirt. Same for the elevator wall and side walls. Fingerprints galore. It gave you the feeling they just didn't care what things looked like! The carpet in the hallways was showing wear and stains. The breakfast selections were adequate, but eggs were cold. The room bed wasn't comfortable, and again the carpet on the floor was stained. The only positive I can make is that both the reception desk staff was very friendly and helpful along with the gentleman who was working the breakfast area. Other than that, it was a no go. I would not stay again.

So far this vacation the choice hotels are not the place to be. At this hotel the beds did seem clean but there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, the shower walls had scum, and the shower curtain was dirty. The breakfast was the normal cereal and waffles and the beds were ok comfortable wise. I would probably give the hotel another chance though if I was in town.

Big room with the sitting area arranged between the beds and the tv instead of the elongated arrangement in lots of other suites. I was pretty impressed with the complimentary breakfast. Real bacon and lots of it was the star of the show. I’d stay here again, especially since it was so close to the interstate exit.

We have stayed here a couple of times on the way to Florida. Rooms have been clean and reasonably quiet. Breakfasts were good with scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles available. What more could you ask for?

Upon checking in after a long 12 hour drive arriving around 10:30pm the customer service was awful from the front desk clerk. Melvin I believe was her name. She could of cared less that we were there. She mocked me regarding our room request, which made me really uncomfortable. I then had to ask where the room was and she never told us what time breakfast was or anything. All o have to say is that it’s really easy to be friendly and could have made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you don’t like you job than leave!!! You were rude however there was an amazing guest or lady that was sitting out in the lobby who was so thoughtful and friendly. I feel she was trying to make up for the ladies attitude. Then one we got to our room I was not impressed! Dirty curtains, countertops and the chair in room 113 needs to be thrown away! Also there was no room to get out of the bed as it was shoved next to the ac. Also please clean your refrigerator and bathroom, GROSS. I love choice hotels however this was not a good one to stop after a long drive heading to Florida. It’s always a challenge to find something off the highway but afford this one!

We spent one night on our drive back home and based our decision on staying from the Very Good and Excellent reviews from various online sources; Plus it advertises that they are New Construction. Well we give it a "D", from the moment we stepped in the Lobby, it was Dark, Dingy, damp smelling and Dated. Even when stepped off the elevator the Damp smell was everywhere. Luckily the room was clean, but I still sprayed Lysol. Again, we based our decision to spend night based on so many positive reviews, but we wouldn't stay there again if we were in the area. You be the judge.
