Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview of Mackinaw City

Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Filthy dirty. Front desk rude. She asked me three times if I had pets in the car. I had another person with me just as I stated in my reservation. Breakfast is a cup of coffee and a granola bar. Take slippers. The floors are sticky with God only knows what. The walls were covered in filth and something that looked like blood spatter. Dust was thick on ledges and furniture. Filth under the microwave. The last guests magazine's were in the dresser. The parking lot is so small that you may not be able to park on site. The bathroom windows would not lock shut. An alarm clock was provided but there was no place to plug it in. The floor lamp was broken. And my favorite feature?? The fire hazard of the overloaded outlet. This is a definite pass the next time we visit.

Well, where do I start. We were all riding motorcycles and got here 10 minutes before check in time, but our rooms were not ready. Check in time was 4pm. We had to wait another hour and a half, for our rooms to be ready. All the bell hop cart tires were all flat, so when you go to use them, they weren’t the easiest thing to push. One of the kids, I guess working there, was just sitting on top of the counter behind the front desk , leaned up against the AC. Very unprofessional. Was using the little laundry room and one of the three washers was out of other and o my one dryer. The dryer seems to not register the quarters so you have to use more than what the dryer says to use. Just a side note: all hallways are not air conditioned, FYI. The door at the end of the building to get in, any one off the street can get in. It does not require and room key access to get in. At the time of my stay, the third floor ice make does not work.

Our hotel accommodations were absolutely amazing, but people left some critical comments in the past, which I don't understand because we didn't have any huge issues that would have warranted such criticism. The staff were very friendly and the view of the Mackinac bridge from our balcony room was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to come stay in Mackinaw City.

Excellent excellent excellent. We had a wonderful experience at the Super 8, so much so we cancelled our August reservation with a different hotel and have switched to Super 8 in Mackinaw City and are choosing to just drive to Cheboygan the next morning as it’s close. So happy to find a diamond in the rough!

Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The wifi actually worked and never had a problem with our room keys. It's located across from the Mackinaw Bridge and within walking distance to The Mackinaw City tourist shopping area. Overall our stay met our expectations and would recommend it to anyone that wants clean, comfortable and friendly staff.

The room was clean but do not base your decision on the free breakfast. All there is available are granola bars, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We stayed one night which is all I would want to stay. The staff was less than professional. For checkout, you either dialed 0 or dropped your key in a jar on the way out. I needed a receipt and was told I didn't get one.
