Ugadale comfort Unbelievably friendly assistance at check-in from Jo. I had booked the wrong set of rooms for our family of five, which she resolved in a very efficient and accommodating manner. Unexpectedly spacious rooms with gorgeous views. It beat our lofty expectations, and we will definitely hope to stay here again when we can return to Macrihanish in the future.

fantastic setting really nice hotel in a fantastic setting and we really enjoyed our stay , very helpful and friendly staff ,the only kinda negatives I could mention was the fact they have a beautiful lounge bar but only use it for breakfast ,and you have to go to the pub for lunches , dinner or a drink ,also the same group own the golf club but you can't go there for a meal either

This hotel is simply incredible! The rooms are so well presented it makes for a luxurious stay! The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms great and products superb. Highly recommend 10/10! Always a treat to stay! P.S. the views from the rooms to the beach are spectacular and you’re just a few steps from the beach; lovely for sunrise and sunset.

The Hotel is rated ( by whom?) as four star. The room was well appointed, however the lack of staff was apparent. On arrival our room had nut shells all over the floor and during our 3rd day no one cleaned our room or made the bed. The staff that were available were very pleasant , but the lack of staff training was obvious with no signs of any management staff over a 5 day stay. The Bar and Restaurant were shut during the whole of our stay . Breakfast was included but was marked by consistently stale bread ,and tinned fruit salad . There is another bar serving food on site. The lady behind the bar was again very pleasant but was unable to connect a new keg when the lager had run out and seemed unaware that it is usual to put lemon in a Gin & Tonic . We had a terrible dinner in this pub/ bar marked by an inedible curry. The daily charge for a double room was £316 . Overall a major disappointment, and a four star hotel it is not!

The four of us were on a three day golfing trip and stayed in one of the cottages. They are excellent and provide you with everything you need, warm , cosy, fantastic sea views immediately outside the windows and for me, most importantly a hot powerful shower. Machrihanish course is two mins walk from the car park and the clubhouse the same distance. One thing I would recommend is to stock up with provisions at nearby Campbeltown as you pass through it on the way to Machrihanish.

Beautiful part of the country and a comfortable stay. Good facilities. Had a great stay despite the weather!

We loved everything about our experience at the Ugadale: authentic and unkept hotel, golf across the road, quiet and serene space. Magical!

This hotel was amazing. The property, dining options, and just the room in general were all so wonderful. Will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful sunrise and sunsets along the coast and a very charming pub from the old course right next door.

Die Umgebung ist großartig. Der Golfclub (allerdings nicht der, welcher zum Hotel gehört) ist gleich gegenüber. Frühstück und Wifi sind gut. Man kann das Zimmerfenster öffnen. Das Bad hatte genug Ablagefläche. Der Pub ist ok, aber nichts besonderes.

At the time of our visit the hotel restaurant was closed in the evenings. No dinner was served. Instead, we had our evening meal in an adjoining pub where good ‘pub’ food was served.
