We drove to Texas from Florida to move into our new home and needed a place to stay the night before closing. We searched "pet friendly" hotels on ********** because our family pet, "Tuesday" the dog, was with us. Best Western was the closest hotel and very specifically highlighted the fact that it was pet friendly. When we arrived and went to check-in, they informed us that the hotel was in fact NOT pet friendly. No big deal, BUT, the hotel refused to refund us our money, roughly $130. We called ********** AND the hotel several times, both playing the "blame game" on each other, ultimately landing on the fact that the decision was up to the hotel and they firmly refused, even though we were never able to check-in and had only booked the hotel 10-15 mins prior to arriving (meaning that we did not prevent them from selling the room to anyone else and then cancel last min). I screenshotted the hotel description reflecting that it was pet friendly (on **********) and disputed the charge with my bank. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service here. Pretty disappointing being that they were one of the newer hotels in Lytle. I would suggest renting an airbnb instead.
