The Threshing Barn at Penrhos Court

Penrhos Court, Lodge 7 and the Pythons Arms This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far. Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. I had my 2 nephews in tow (7 & 9) which were greeted personally by the chef. He came and asked the boys what they would like to eat which was a really lovely touch. Keeping the kids happy makes a nice meal for the adults. Food as always was fresh and really tasty and a delight to look at. Finally on Saturday we ventured to the new on-site pub. The pub was something I was really looking forward to experiencing and it far exceeded expectations. Warm, cosy, great selection of drinks including real ales. It has a log fire, pool table and dart board. We had a fantastic after/evening in there. Mark & Laura are fantastic hosts and all of the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. A very special place that’s set in a lovely part of the country.

Amazing little gem Perfect little gem, cosy and quiet. Well equipped kitchen everything you need, plus a little food hamper with all the essentials from milk, juice, crackers and cheese. If we are in the that area we will stay there again. Also pub and cafe on site to.

The communication is absolutely dreadful. Whether that is by phone or email. The loose dogs in the coutyard are off putting. I made enquiries before the booking that were not answered. When I had an issue with the booking I had one short response and then no more. The phone was not answered or messages returned.

Awful Food. Filthy Environment. Allow Smoking. Rude people. These people have literally no idea what hospitality means. Our experience is based on two visits - both of which were the same. The management of the establishment simply do not care about customers, and would rather make political statements.

Penrhos Court is a hidden gem! The accommodation is clean, new and very tastefully done. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Yummy food in the cattle shed was an added bonus. We’d highly recommend this place!!

Stunning location overlooking the beautiful tolling hills, A brand new luxury conversion of the beautiful Threshing Barn creating 7 self contained stylish and beautifully appointed cottages from 1-3 bedrooms Perfect for a small or large family gatherings where you want your own space but also want to get together Also with a brilliant indoor outdoor gathering space adjoining the cottages We had gorgeous little welcome gift of chutney, crackers , cheese and elderflower presse Across the lawns and pond is the wonderful cow shed cafe set in another beautiful building - amazing friendly hospitality from the cafe manager and scummy food & drinks This is a must stay, with the beautiful Elizabethan main house as part of the idyllic courtyard setting And if you want to walk in the footsteps of musical great like Led Zepplin, Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant and more who all used the hideaway for creating musical genius then take a trip and enjoy every minute like me and my sister and our families did
