"Matka oli liian iso sänkyyn, joka johti vuodesta alaspäin. Televisiota varten kaukoputki nauhoitettiin takapuolelle, joten akut eivät pudonneet, mutta kaukoputki ei toiminut ja joutui tekemään sitä manuaalisesti TV:n puolella. Pyydämme hiljaista huonetta ja pantiin huone, joka oli päätie. Tie oli erittäin kiireinen ja vaikka se oli erittäin kuuma (Meille annettiin fani) emme voineet olla ikkunat auki, koska tiellä oli niin melua, mutta jopa ikkunat suljettu melu piti meidät herää. Suihku oli myös hyvin liukas ja köysi oli hyvin vaikea poistaa. Aamiainen oli hyvin hyvä, kuten palvelu, jonka saimme."

"Ympäristö on hyvä, katson ulos huoneen ikkunasta ja näen isot ruohonjuurikas ja villit hevoset, jotka ovat joskus ilmestyneet, erittäin runsaasti juttuja. Olohuoneen tilat ovat vanhoja ja ääni on suuri, kun vesi on pois. ikkuna on näkyvissä. Mutta ympäristö on todella hyvä, eikä se ole kaukana kaupungin keskusta ja maisemapaikoista. Hotelli on allasruokahuone, ruoka on maukasta.Yleensä on hyvä."

"A lovely old hotel in the heart of the forest. Lyndhurst is a pretty village and well appointed. The breakfast at the hotel is good. The rooms smell fresh and nicely appointed. Parts of the hotel look a little tired, however the overall experience was very positive. The lady in the front desk really helped when something went wrong and something needed replacing."

"I would like to firstly express how welcoming and customer friendly the team were throughout my stay, also the food was lovely and well presented. I would like to mention that the room i stay in (room 5) was next to or was situated nearby appliances (with perhaps fans) which continuously made a noise throughout the night - travel/road noise was expected due to the location of the establishment. If i were to stay here again i would look to avoid this room as i am a light sleeper."

Ormonde House Hotel ★★★

"Solo traveller with my dog. A lovely room but very steep stairs as we were in the top of the building. It was a heatwave so very hot! A fan was provided. Across the road and onto the New forest it could not be more beautiful! Breakfast was very nice but it was a little slow at times, not helped be me being a bit short of time . Shower was amazing ! Some road noise outside but mostly due to a manhole cover in the road being hit by bigger vehicles. It was manageable. Very friendly staff. And dog friendly and clean . a good stay and I will certainly return when in the area ."

"Nice cosy rooms above a pleasant pub. It accepts dogs but didn't feel it was very dog friendly as no access for dogs to go for a wee, no dog bowls or anything dog related in the room even though the dog was booked in. Friendly staff and the food at the pub was tasty."

"Just got back from a lovely 4-day stay in Avalon House. The host Nick was warm and welcoming and the room and en-suite were lovely and spacious with plenty of storage. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and there was tea, coffee, bottled water and lovely biscuits every day in the room. The house is just a 5-minute walk from the lovely town of Lyndhurst which has some nice shops, restaurants and a couple of pubs . There is also a pub called The White Rabbit just across the road. Great to be able to park the car on site. If you walk to the end of the high street you will find a lovely place in the New Forest called Bolton’s Bench which has lovely views around the area. We stayed at Avalon because we were doing a pottery course at Angels Farm nearby and will definitely stay there if we come back next year."
