Had a very nice weekend stay here. Great location right on Lyndhurst High Street. Stayed in a very comfortable and spacious room. Very warm room, nice hot showers, comfy beds. Cooked breakfast was great quality and always piping hot. Dinner in the evening was very nice too. Staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The stay was fantastic value for money. Car park isn't obvious to find, so make sure you check their website for the alternative postcode to use to find the parking at the rear. Bonus of an electric car charger for guests was appreciated. Only point I'd note is continental breakfast option was limited. It was cereal, toast or I think granola & yogurt was on the menu. A few pastures and fruit would be appreciated. But certainly didn't detract from a great place in a great location - would definitely recommend

Couples weekend
An overall very pleasant stay with extremely friendly & accommodating staff.
The room was slightly on the smaller side but had a lovely bathroom and all the toiletries you need! Great selection of tea & coffee. Exceptional breakfast however did take a little longer than anticipated (around 35 minutes) to come out to table. Keep topped up on refreshments in the meantime however.
We had gone back as this was one of our first dates and was sad to see they no longer had a cocktail menu.
Room service would be fantastic option down the line as the local Tescos closed earlier that stated and there is no where to grab a quick snack or drink for your room.
Would happily come back due to the friendly atmosphere and stunning surroundings

Great hotel, nice location, friendly customer service! Breakfast was good but slightly costly and separate from the room charge. The view and landscape was great even in February and a lot of parking spots! The town near by worth a visit! 👱♀️

Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff, we keep coming back to the Stag as the staff are so good and the food is great, we had just popped in for a mid week dinner and it was so tasty. I will keep coming back to this pub as it is good food with a lovely friendly atmosphere

Great stay, lovely staff and amazing food
From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. Our room was not quite up to scratch a couple of things had been missed on housekeeping. However the staff were amazing and quickly showed us to another room and couldnt apologise enough. The room was very spacious room 6 on the top floor so quite a few steps to go up.Comfy bed, clean and tidy alrhough could do with a fresh lick of paint but this is something due soon as explained by the staff member.
Food at the stag is amazing absolute delicious and again the staff are lovely. Great place to eat. We slept well , ear plugs are supplied if you need them as you can hear the traffic going past but this cant be helped as its the road through the centre of Lyndhurst. Great powerful shower.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and again lovely chatty staff. We loved staying here for our Wedding Anniversary break. Will definitely be returning to stay again.
