Inn at Lynden

A clean, very nice, updated hotel. The customer service is top notch and friendly. Excellent AC, comfortable beds, snacks in room, good apples on check in, solid floors and walls for a quiet nights sleep. Mini fridge and coffee in the room, though no microwave. Gym passes available for free use of2 local gyms. Walking distance to places to eat.

This is a great hotel! Cute little town, clean and cozy, with an old world bakery right across the street. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Room was very comfortable. And a bookstore downstairs.

The Inn at Lynden is a remodeled Mercantile Building. It is beautifully redone and incorporates the old industrial design. It is in the center of downtown Lynden with bikes available to tour the area. Most importantly, the rooms were immaculate with comfortable beds and pillows. Service throughout the Inn and adjoining businesses was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town! Stayed 3 nights for a family wedding. We had 15 rooms. The staff were excellent. The people could not have been more friendly and hospitable. Nice restaurant on the main floor and a small pub too. They did an amazing job transforming this old department store into a luxury destination.

This hotel was a wonderful find! I was in town with friends for a concert at the fairgrounds nearby. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had a one-queen room on the mezzanine level and found the beds to be very comfortable, and the room had everything I needed, especially a Keurig with good coffee! There is a mini-fridge as well, and their toiletries are top-notch. (Loved the BeeKind brand offered for lotion and conditioner.) Avenue Bread, adjacent to the hotel, was a tasty stop for both breakfast and lunch, and the bakery was across the street for a sugar fix. I will definitely be back!

I stayed one night at The Inn at Lynden with friends. We had three rooms total. We were there to attend a concert at the NW Washington Fair. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! We absolutely loved it! It is cute and charming while at the same time being very high-class and five star worthy. It is in little downtown Lynden in a renovated building that was the Lynden department store built in the 1920’s. Rooms have all the amenities you could want, very comfortable beds, and the staff at the front desk were incredibly kind and friendly. They even walk you up to your room if you like! The order-at-the-counter restaurant on the first floor has a wide variety of yummy sandwiches, salads, omelettes, breakfast plates, and pastries and we ate there for both breakfast and lunch and really enjoyed it. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this property!

Lynden does not offer many choices in accommodations, but they have at least one good one in the Inn at Lynden. The inn is in a renovated historic building in downtown- much of the central business area is within walking distance. The lobby is attractive and the front desk service was excellent. Wifi and parking in the local city lots are complementary. A stay here also comes with other complementary offerings- bicycles, tickets to the local museum, access to local fitness centers among them, if those are of interest to you. The building features Avenue Bakery and Overflow Taps as a restaurant and a pub- which may explain why breakfast is not included. However at $199 plus tax per night for a smallish queen room, I would have expected either breakfast or at least a coupon for the on-site restaurant. Our room at the back of the building featured no view and a modest amount of outside noise. The room, while compact, was well equipped, very clean and fully operational. A larger refrigerator, large flatscreen tv with reasonable channels, room safe and table and chairs were included. The bed was average, linens and towels were of good quality and toiletries of very good quality. In-room tea and coffee service were very good quality. The inn offers a pleasant place to stay but without competition in town it is, unsurprisingly, an average value at best.

While the hotel itself is lovely, staff are friendly and helpful, and we received coupons for Avenue Bread, the Pioneer Museum, etc., the bed was so soft it was almost impossible to sleep. And, isn't that one of the most important aspects of a hotel room? Forget the coffee in your room, as it is in tea bag form and not good coffee at all. A Keurig would have been nice... Also for having a king suite, I would not have paid all the extra $$$ if I had known I did not have a view of any kind and actually had to keep my blinds down the entire time as our room overlooked a courtyard. So, would I come back? Unfortunately, that would be a "no" for us.
