We absolutely loved our visit to Lynchburg. The Tolley House is beautiful, clean and well-appointed. There is a lot of history here. It is only like 5 minutes to the town square and Distillery so perfect location. Check in was all done via text and we only saw one person briefly while staying 2 nights even though there were several cars parked outside. There were a couple flaws, but easy fixes. The TV sits on a low table which makes it almost impossible to lie in the tall bed and see the TV and since everything in town is closed by 7pm, we ended making it a couple early nights, so the TV situation was a little annoying. Don't expect a breakfast! There were bagels and bananas in our room but that was it. There are no lights in the room other than the overhead chandelier. A night table lamp would be ideal. And it was FREEZING! They have just one thermostat for the whole house, so our room was extraordinarily chilly - like we slept in a sweatshirt and sweatpants and socks. We kept the bathroom light/heater on (even though it was very noisy) to help heat up the room. So, a little space heater would be ideal. There is a large stain on the ottoman which was off-putting. We stayed in Miss Ethels room, and it was really lovely with the pink bathroom. We did drive to Tullahoma to have dinner after the Barrell Lighting at the Distillery. With only one restaurant in Lynchburg that tried to stay open late and was very busy, there was nowhere to eat. The drive is like 20 minutes and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The few flaws didn't sway us from having a great time!
