Lumbarda Resort Apartments

The apartments are built in a cascade system and each has a nice sea view as a result. From what I understand, each apartment is owned by a different owner and is furnished differently, so the reviews are all over the place, because some apartments are nice and renovated, while others are old and in a sad state, but you can’t chose when booking online. Ours (E2) had a great big patio with 6 person outdoor seating and an umbrella, fantastic kitchen with everything you could imagine you’d need, and two very basic bedrooms and a tiny living room with a tv and cable. What we lacked was mosquito screens (it’s surrounded by greenery so lots of mosquitoes), cleaning services (you are on vacation so would be nice not to worry about cleaning), and updated bathroom. The shower hose broke two days in, thankfully the staff found some sort of an intermediate solution. The shower doors didn’t fully close and each shower ended up flooding the bathroom floor. The apartment has a washing machine which was very convenient but you would need to buy your own detergent pods, same with the dishwasher. Speaking of buying cleaning products, there is nothing in the apartment with the exception of dish soap. Given that they don’t offer free cleaning, if you want to keep things tidy, you would also have to buy everything yourself, not very customer focused thinking. Also would have been nice to put in some sign next to the pool that after a couple of days they throw away the inflatables people leave in the pool area so they don’t drag them all the way up to their apartments, we found our 60 usd inflatable in the garbage together with few others. Wi-Fi was a bit patchy and my work zoom calls kept dropping. The resort is on a steep hill so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Overall it was ok, a bit of a socialist times resort feel and not the best value for money, but not a disaster either.
