Hikers Inn Lukla

The lady who manages this place was super helpful. If you don't have a return flight booked to KTM just leave her to work it all out for you. She booked my ticket (same price as doing it yourself) and walked me to the airport and did all the admin to make sure i got on the flight that was booked. That took a whole load of stress away from me and a whole load of BS. The place is very nice too. Lukla is a crap hole and you will need earplugs because it's just dogs barking and howling all night long.

The best place you can choose to stay in Lukla. The owners are simply first class, the only reason we had a chance to make it in and out of the airport at all was thanks to them. They truly care for everyone coming in and out, and do their utmost to help. Thank you so much!

The Hikers Inn at Lukla is arguably the best lodge in Lukla, with large rooms and in-suite bathrooms. The food is great, the ambience very welcoming and the owners Lhakpa & Nima are wonderful hosts and two of the most resourceful, networked and helpful people you will get to meet at Lukla. Rely on them to get you out if the airport closes due to bad weather!

I'm always skeptical when I stay at the 'top rated' place in an area. However, this place has a reason to be highly rated. The rooms were very clean, there was hot water for the shower, the food was good and the family running the place was very kind. 5/5 absolutely.

Nima at the Hikers Inn was amazing, when I arrived and also when I left Lukla. On arrival, she helped organise a amazing porter, rent a really good quality sleeping bag for the 3 passes trek. She also came to the airport with me help get a flight when they were all cancelled the previous day.

The hotel owner (Nima) is also an employee at the airport and works as a travel agent. She seems to have many connections around town and in the airport and was able to get us priority tickets from Lukla to Katmandu, which avoided us the gruesome 6-hour taxi drive from Rameshhap to KTM. She is a capable person and ready to help. Vibe in the hotel is smooth and relaxed. The delux rooms have huge double beds and hot showers but like almost everywhere, the temperature inside was still chilly during the night. Nice roof terrace with views over the airport.
