When we booked Cormorant (pre-paid a 50% deposit 17 days before our booking date), we were very careful to confirm a room with a double bed. It was more expensive than we were hoping to spend, but we felt that it was worth it considering they managed to make Room 2 (their only double room with sea view) available for us. On arrival we were told that Room 2 was not available (it later transpired that it had been given to someone else the day beforehand). At this stage there was no apology, they said it wasn't their problem and our displeasure was met with a shrug of indifference. Once presented with the email correspondence, the receptionist changed her story and explained that it was her fault but offered very little in the way of a solution, other than booking somewhere else. The rooms seemed very nice and most rooms have a balcony with a sea view. However, this was little consolation and eventually we decided we would find somewhere that could meet our specific request. Luckily we found somewhere that that cost half as much and with the same facilities, but it was stressful to sort out at such short notice. The receptionist's final statement was that one can't always have what one wants.
