Checkin Bungalows Atlántida

We booked the cheapest for four days with 2 rooms. Just what was asked for is what we got. Room with twin beds and a bed settee, kitchenette, bath and toilet. Perfect. It had a balcony with chairs and table, a hanging rack. Basic but brilliant, especially as it cost us equivalent of £25 a night

We arrived at the bungalows on 24th October as a party of 8 including 3 teens and 1 aged 79 with mobility issues. Having read the reviews I was worried but had also messaged ahead to ask that our rooms be allocated in a convenient spot for the elderly traveller. We were given 4 rooms, 30, 36, 64 and 51. Room 30 was allocated to our older person as it was near Reception, had no steps and pool view. Slightly further from restaurant and bar but accessible without steps. When we entered the rooms I can’t deny we were pleasantly surprised. Seemed clean, spacious, nice bathroom, utensils as required. I would go as far as to say, as good or better than any similar starred accommodation we had been in. I think perhaps others who rated the hotel, were expecting too much for their money. We were told the room would be cleaned and towels changed every 3 days and that happened. We are used to having more regular cleaning but it just meant being more careful with dirtying towels. Our only issue was having 2 towels for 3 people but we managed. There was extra toilet roll and shower gel left in bathroom along with bucket and mop if we chose to use. My only concern with the cleaning was when we discovered a child’s hat under the cushions on the back of the sofa. Suggested not fully cleaned from previous holidaymakers but the sheets on sofa were clean. No-one else in our party had any complaints. We couldn’t really criticise the rooms. Moving on to the food (we were half board), again we couldn’t complain too much. My 13 year old is extremely fussy but was happy to eat plain pasta, sweetcorn and some meat every night. I do think the options were quite limited but we appreciated the fact we weren’t over eating. There was only one night when we didn’t enjoy our food. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. I read somewhere that potato choices were limited on some nights and I would agree. On a couple of nights there were only fries, which I never tried and my 13 year old didn’t eat. Next the entertainment. Overall pretty bad. There was a Lady Victoria singer one evening who was very good but nothing else we enjoyed. The parrot show was fine for little kids but not for us. Luckily, lots of local bars offering alternative options. The swimming pools were a bit disappointing. They really need a few repaid but our teen girls and myself went in along with our 79 year old. They are very small and freezing cold so as long as you just want to cool off and not swim, it’s fine. The main pool gets busy so we never got a sun bed there. The rectangle pool was unappealing and no-one went in it. The issue was the selfish attitude of some users. Teenage boys and men kicking football around poolside, the men in particular hitting myself and other members of our party with the ball, they were also hitting peoples windows and glass doors if their room was poolside. The staff ( especially Alexander and Antonio)were helpful and friendly. Rooms were decent but not like the pictures. Make sure you book AC clearly if you want it as only 20 have AC. Food was adequate but the same every day. Entertainment was really bad I am afraid (apart from the parrots). Good location for the beach and generally very clean throughout the resort.

Just back after a 7 night stay.We really enjoyed our stay here and would return.The location is great near the beach shops restaurants etc.The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.When I had seen before I arrived about the steps and ramps I contacted the hotel about my mobility issue and they told me it would be sorted on arrival and it was. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back

Acabamos de volver de unas maravillosas vacaciones de 8 días en Tenerife y es la tercera vez que nos alojamos aquí. Personal de 10 (amables, serviciales, trabajadores) en especial Alexander (camarero) y Andrés (socorrista) siempre atentos, educados y con una sonrisa al igual que el personal de recepción que siempre están dispuestos a ayudarte en todo. Ubicación perfecta: con un breve paseo te plantas en una playa enorme con vistas al puerto y un poco más hacia adelante está la playa de “las vistas” todavía más grande. Cerca hay también locales para cenar o tomar algo (ambiente muy inglés). Si alquilas coche no hay problemas de aparcamiento, todo es zona blanca y la cantidad de plazas de aparcamiento es enorme a ambos lados de la calle. Si se viaja con personas mayores, hay opción de alquilar motos eléctricas. Habitaciones: en este caso escogimos la habitación premium y es la decisión acertada ya que dispone de AC (puede ser difícil descansar si no lo hay debido al calor y humedad) y una enorme terraza con tumbonas y toallas (lo cual es un acierto si algún día quieres tomar el sol y no bajar a la piscina) Buffet: comida variada y al gusto, lo mismo proponen opciones vegetales, sopa, de pasta, carnes e incluso temáticas (comida italiana, mexicana…). Postres variados también. El café incluido es de máquina. Gimnasio: hay barra de press banca olímpica con multitud de discos (los cuales te sirven de mancuernas), dos bancos fijos y aparte, uno ajustable (aunque no hay zona para hacer el press banca propiamente dicho, no hay zona donde apoyar la barra para cogerla y dejarla). Máquina de aperturas para pecho, para hacer fondos, abdominales, dos elípticas…. Siempre es y será un placer volver.

No volvería mas ni se lo recomendaria a nadie la verdad 1- hace mucha calor la cual te deja un ventilador con deposito de 20€ . No tienen aire acondicionado y no puedes dejar las ventanas abiertas la cual entran las cucarachas 2- la limpieza es muy mala te dicen que te limpian y te cambian la habitación cada 3 dias y es mentiras porque tuvimos 5 dias y tuve que ir yo a pedir almenos cambio de toalla 3- en la noche cuando me levante fui al Baño y vi que habia cucarachas dentro de la habitación por encima de el neceser como los cepillos de dientes y se metieron corriendo por debajo del lavavo del marmol Otro dia vi en la maleta donde la tenia encima del sofa tambien habia la cual me tube que dejar el dinero en las lavadoras que hay alli y tuve que llevar toda la ropa a lavarla . Fuimos a recepción y nos dice que hay que convivir con seres de la naturaleza , fumigaron la habitación y cuando volvimos por la noche no se podia estar y pedimos que nos cambiaran de habitación 4 - puse una reclamación ,la cual puse que deberian de tener mas higiene en las habitaciones asin evitarian el tema de las cucarachas dentro de ella,tambien comente que cuando voy de vacaciones no quiero convivir con ninguna cucaracha como nos dijo la señora de recepcion despues aconsejar de poner aires acondicionados o si no por lo menos poner mosquiteras en las ventanas para poder dormir con las ventanas abiertas lo cual refrescaria y ventilaria las habitaciones y asi una larga lista de mas cosas no se lo recomendaria a nadie en este sentido.
