This was our second visit to Casa Maat and we were not disappointed. It's beautiful, relaxing and felt like we were coming home. However, I will do a little complaining first. As with any beach vacation, it's all about the view, right? Everyone wants to be able to see the ocean. When we were here in May of 2024, we got a room that overlooked a landscaped roof but still had a nice view if you came out on your balcony and looked left toward the ocean. It's just kind of the way the place is built. It wasn't bad because you could still see the ocean and hear the waves. We paid our stay with Bonvoy points and so we couldn't complain. This time we decided to pay cash for our stay thinking we would get a better room closer to the ocean if we paid with money rather than points. Well, we got the same room on the floor above where we were last time. I didn't want to make a big deal because we really do love it there. While w were there we just happened to talk to a couple staying there at the same time. They had an Umey Suite that was ocean front and had unobstructed views of the ocean. Imagine our surprise when they told us that they used Bonvoy Points and got a FREE UPGRADE! I mean, good for them and I guess that tells us Bonvoy members that it is possible to get upgrades, but we paid thousands of dollars and got nothing better than if we would've used points. Heck, maybe we would've gotten a suite? Who knows? Anyway, on to why this property is amazing. It's quiet and never feels crowded. It's definitely a place that should be adults only because it is not family friendly in that it only has one pool and there really isn't anything for children to do other than to go next door to the JW Marriott. Frankly, I wish Casa Maat would become an adults only property. If they did, we'd go nowhere else in Mexico and make this our only beach destination. Our superhero was Luis, the pool concierge. All you had to do is look in the direction of your umbrella and Luis was there to adjust the umbrella however you wanted it. He is amazing and is the hardest working young man we've ever met. Everyone who attended to the pool was so accommodating and friendly. We never lacked for anything. The breakfast was outstanding. They had great omelette station and the best chilaquiles I've ever tasted. Everyone was so wonderful but we always seemed to be in Anahi and Monserrat's area and they always were so fast and accommodating. Anahi even remembered what we drank every morning. They were so friendly and always had a smile on their face. I can't say enough about these servers. We ate dinner at the property every night. There was a theme dinner every night and the food was pretty good. My only complaint would be the desserts. We liked the tres leches and the flan but every other dessert was not good. Luckily, by the time dessert came, we were full, especially, since they offer an open bar for dinner. The staff at dinner really made our sta
