Staff was friendly kinissies inside just the outside area was a bit hush with homeless people walking around nothing they could control

I stayed at the Los Feliz PodShare and was genuinely blown away. It’s rare to find a place this affordable in LA that also manages to be cute, clean, and full of character, but this spot nails it. The space itself is thoughtfully designed and surprisingly cozy. Everything felt tidy, welcoming, and well cared for. But what really set it apart for me was the vibe. There’s a warm, almost family-like atmosphere that made me feel instantly at ease. The staff weren’t just helpful, they were kind. Like *genuinely* kind. The energy was communal without being chaotic, and I found myself having real conversations with people I’d never have met otherwise. The actual location of the spot was unreal. Los Feliz is effortlessly cool. Full of indie shops, great food, and easy access to all the best parts of LA. I walked everywhere, felt safe, and actually got to experience the city instead of being stuck in traffic or holed up somewhere generic. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay that doesn’t feel like a compromise, this is it. I almost don’t want to hype it up too much so it stays a hidden gem..but seriously, go. You’ll leave with more than just a place to sleep.

A safe place to stay while visiting.

A loft bed and a shared bath This hostel type low cost option is a good value for the price, but one should arrive with realistic expectations. As an older traveler, I chose it in part for the experience and in part for the location. I got a good night’s sleep.

Not the best hostel The hostel looks unique and cool from the pictures. When I arrived at 6pm it was so hot I was sweating in the hostel. The A/C was turned on later that night. Laundry was $7 a load. There was no curtains on the beds for privacy or darkness. Bring an eye mask. The area didn't seem safe with the homeless tent across the hostel, and parking is on the street. So if you have a car make sure you read the signs. I had to move my car and walk a half mile to the hostel twice for street cleaning.

The one Employee there was snobby and was easily offended by my coughing which i had no control over... This was not a good hotel at all
