The Station Hotel

Comfortable stay, convenient location. Would recommend.

Stayed here many times to visit our son and daughter in law. Never been disappointed. Staff friendly, rooms clean and very close to railway station. Breakfast, dinner are available in the pub, reasonable quality and prices. 12 minutes from London Bridge.

The Station is perfectly placed to get into London with Hither Green station just a minutes walk away. The staff are brilliant, there when you need them, polite and attentive. The food is great and the bedrooms very comfortable. I would recommend the Station without any hesitation - be it for business or holiday trips.

Arrived on a sunny Friday afternoon and the pub was busy but with a really nice vibe. I didn't stick around as I was meeting family but when I got back about 11pm there were still a few people finishing off drinks but again, such a lovely vibe. You could hear the pub noise from my room on the first floor a little but it didn't bother me. Bed was so comfortable! Big fluffy duvet and pillows in really thick cotton covers. I slept like a baby! Coffee machine, kettle, teas, hot chocolates and botte of water in the room. Bathroom was great, great waterfall shower with lovely shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion from Bramley (which I have now purchased for myself as it smelled divine!). Big thick white towels. Breakfast was great. Choice of cooked options as well as cereals, pastries etc. I went for Eggs Benedict which was spot on. Coffee/Tea and juices provided. This is going to be my 'place to stay' when seeing family in London.

We loved the hotel. It's very quaint and cozy. The room was also quite pleasant. The pub was also top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and you could choose a different dish from the menu every day, which is included for hotel guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. Except for one person at breakfast time, whose behavior was anything but hospitable. Rude and unwelcoming, you felt like a nuisance. Another guest was shouted at in the breakfast room when he was given something other than what he had audibly ordered and spoke up. Unfortunately, this one person had no desire or concern for service. She was unbearable for three days. The next day (the boss??? was present), she pulled herself together.
