- **Incomplete room cleaning:** Found unclaimed socks in the room after check-in.
- **Lack of basic amenities:** No refrigerator, microwave, or wine opener in the room. The absence of a microwave was particularly inconvenient for us to reheeat the food from supermarket when returning late. When I inquired at the reception about the availability of a microwave, I was informed that there was not a single unit in the entire hotel. This is quite unbelievable for a hotel of this standard.
- **Unhelpful reception staff:** When asked about a wine opener, and I was directed to ask the bar next to the reception. It is not appropriate for guests to be expected to borrow items from a bar without making a purchase, especially when the hotel should be able to accommodate such requests. A simple gesture from the reception staff could have made a significant difference.
- **Disappointing experience:** For approximately £100 per night, I expected more assistance and better service from the staff.
