OYO Townhouse 30 Sussex Hotel, London Paddington

Didn’t get to experience the hotel. Had a booking on 19th Jan and they cancelled 4 days before my booking even though it was paid for upfront. Did not offer any alternative accommodation or give any reason. Blanked any requests from us and just came across arrogant.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Booked for 1 night to take my son on his first trip to London, booked well over a month ago and receive an email less than 1 week before to advise that they were cancelling my booking with no explanation. Absolute shambles of a company. If you’ve got any sense after reading this review, leave the website and book with one of the REPUTABLE chains like Premier inn, Ibis or Travelodge! At least you know what you’re getting with them for the same (if not less) cost!!!!

La stanza che ci è stata assegnata era nello "scantinato" (il piano sotto la strada), ma con finestre. Si sentono i passi di quelli che sono sopra, ed essendo sotto la porta d'ingresso, chiaramente si sentivano tutte le persone che arrivavano in hotel. La tappezzeria tutta staccata e la moquette non proprio pulita. Il bagno deve essere stato ristrutturato, ma mostra già segni di usura. L'asciugacapelli non c'è. Per colazione c'è nella reception una macchina del caffè che fa un buon prodotto, e loro offrono dei muffin confezionati - buoni. Il letto era comodo. La receptionist molto disponibile. La zona non è granchè, ma è vicino ai mezzi che servono.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Me and My partner lasted just under 2 hours in this hotel before checking out and checking in to the nearest premier inn! Don't be deceived by the photos! First of all the facilities weren't great! The coat hanger on the back of the bathroom door was loose, the handle on the shower was loose, and the soap rack on the bathroom was rusty. The room is very small, I could take 4 steps from the bed and be at the door. No milk in the room on the tea tray. One coat hanger in the small cut out wardrobe! The appearance of the room was the second issue. There is wallpaper peeling from the walls in numerous areas of the room. Paint peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom, which has probably happened because the extractor fan didn't work. The BIGGEST and most important issue was the hygiene level! Under the bathroom mirror was black mould. Random parts of the wall were just mucky. The tea/coffee tray was dusty and had old wrappers in. We found other people's clothes labels in the bedside cabinet so this clearly hasn't been cleaned. Skirting boards are mucky. Dust in the bottom of the mirror. And we also found a nail at the side of the bed on the carpet! I've NEVER been to an accommodation that has been that bad that I've had to check out and try book somewhere else!! Please don't waste your time booking here!

En positivo podemos descartar la comodidad de las camas y el buen funcionamiento del aire acondicionado. En cuanto a la ubicación hay cerca paradas de metro pero el ambiente de la zona no era lo que esperábamos. Lo negativo que destacamos es, sin duda, la falta de limpieza, no pasaron a limpiar el baño ni un sólo día, daba la sensación de que únicamente estiraban el edredón de la cama y ya está, cosa que obviamente nos parece muy poco higiénico.

Was perfect for my overnight stay. Room was small but nice. Bed was comfortable and everything thing very clean. Staff were helpful especially when I couldn’t open the safe! Would stay again. Edgware Road tube station a 6 minute walk away and took 20 minutes to walk to Park Lane.
