Although in Zone 3, it’s still very convenient and about 30 min to the London city centre. The room is not small and reception is friendly. But they clean the room only upon departure day, so long stay isn’t recommended. Also there’s no Aircond and could be a bit warm during the summer nights

Location was great and the staff were friendly; however the room wasn’t the cleanest and the window in the room couldn’t be opened. Only 30 mins complimentary WiFi and then £3 per 24 hours.

The thing that bothered me was the overall cleanliness plus room was not very warm could have furnished an extra blanket.

The standout feature of this Travelodge is the staff, who are consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Both the reception and maintenance teams do a great job. A special mention goes to Armando—he’s always quick to assist and ensures any issues are resolved efficiently. The Travelodge is in a very convenient location, right next to a train station and bus stops, which makes getting around easy. There are also a few cafes and restaurants nearby, which is helpful since there isn’t a restaurant on-site. However, it would be nice if there were more amenities available. The value is reasonable, though it can feel a bit expensive when booking last minute. Overall, the staff really make a difference.

I arrived London Balham very early in the morning. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming. They assisted me with my bags and was allowed to leave my bags at a safe space at the reception until I had an early check in. The apartment was tidy and cozy. An overall decent experience.

Couldn't be more conveniently located right next door to the station, downside was I could (just) hear the trains late night and early morning. Windows don't open and no aircon so I'd hesitate to book in summer. Dated Travelodge product, probably due a refit, but perfectly clean and bed was comfortable. Room small but not unusual for central London. Check in lady was very friendly and helpful. My one real complaint would be the lighting in the room - really horrible blue tinged CFLs on the ceiling, harsh bedside lights, and a dim light in the bathroom. Not nice at all.

We have and continue to be in the travel lodge Balham due to other circumstances. You get what you expect from a travel lodge but the service and care we have received from the team at this hotel have been exceptional. Armando in particular has been so helpful and made what has been a difficult stay so much more comfortable.

What a little gem ! Yes it’s basic but it was very clean, lovely cotton sheets and fluffy white towels staff were fantastic . 30 second walk to Balham tube . We stayed 2 nights visiting our daughter . It was just 20 min straight tube ride to London Bridge . We will definitely use this hotel again . Armando was exceptional, from the minute we arrived til we left he couldn’t have been more helpful . This company are so lucky having him work for them 1st class customer service ! Looking forward to returning for 3 nights with my mum in January .

I have often recommended Balham travel lodge to family and friends when visiting London, it is in the perfect location and is well kept. A highlight is the friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of guests, we were particularly thankful for Armando’s kind and approachable nature

Great experience at the Travelodge Balham. The room is clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable. Philomina, Armando and the team are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is right next door to the station for easy access to travel links.

Price- It was the cheapest option I could find in London in December. The other options were at least 700€ while I paid around 310£ for the full stay. Location- It is located very close to the city center (30min). The train and underground station are 2 min from the hotel. Staff- The staff are very nice. Mr. Vaz, Miguel, the red head lady. Smell - The main bad thing is that we hated the smell of the bed sheets. They should air the room more often or wash the sheets because the smell was unpleasant. A little but of noise - You can hear a little bit the noise from the train. But is nothing that bad I could sleep perfectly. Overall I would stay there again for the price and nice staff specifically if it is with las minute bookings.
