TL;DR: Premier Inn Hanger Lane in London offers poor service, inconsistent room cleaning, and a disappointing breakfast. Not recommended. Review: I chose to stay at Premier Inn Hanger Lane in London based on its positive reviews, but my experience was far from what those reviews promised. The hotel’s poor service and lack of basic amenities during my 8-day stay were deeply disappointing. Room cleaning was inconsistent and required explicit requests each day. This policy was not communicated at check-in, and I only found out after returning on the first day to a room that had not been cleaned. On the second day, I finally received basic cleaning and amenities like shower gel, but for the first night, I had to go out and purchase soap just to take a shower. On the third day, despite requesting cleaning in advance, my room was still not serviced. When I approached the reception to ensure it wouldn’t happen again, the staff simply told me to report it “if it happened again” instead of taking steps to prevent the issue. The lack of attention to cleanliness was evident throughout the stay—mud stains on the carpet from the first day remained untouched, despite repeated requests for vacuuming. Breakfast was underwhelming, offering a limited variety of items. There were very few pastries, minimal fruit options, and soy milk was the only non-dairy alternative. The hot food selection was basic, and the quality left much to be desired. Customer service was disappointing across the board. Staff showed little concern for guest satisfaction and failed to provide clear communication about policies, such as the cleaning request system. When issues were raised, they often responded with indifference rather than a sincere effort to resolve them. What surprised me the most was how misleading the reviews were. Based on those, I expected a much better experience, but the reality was entirely different. It makes me question how this hotel has managed to maintain such high ratings. Overall, my experience at Premier Inn Hanger Lane did not meet even the most basic expectations for a comfortable stay. The constant need to chase after basic services, the indifference of the staff, and the lack of attention to cleanliness and guest satisfaction made this stay frustrating and unsatisfactory. For the price I paid, the value was incredibly poor. I would not recommend this hotel—or any Premier Inn location—and will not stay with this chain again.
