Bowfield Hotel and Spa

Its always a warm welcome when you go to the Bowfield, the staff are always friendly and they go out of your way to look after you. The hotel is lovely, rooms are a good size with a great bathroom. Food in the restaurant is always excellent. I've stayed here for business a couple of times and would definitely go back if visiting the area as a holiday. Would highly recommend.

A very nice stay. Spa and lunch , evening meal and breakfast. Well maintained and clean facilities, Majority of staff polite and attentive. Food quality and ingredients very good. Room modern and clean. Spa very good service and delightful views from outdoor jacuzzi. Gym & pool facility good as well. Apart from issue of noise (room 5 avoid). Acid test , would I visit again - yes.

Stayed in a lodge here for an anniversary weekend, Ben Nevis lodge. Really enjoyed our stay. Lodge was lovely, hot tub was great. Food and service in the restaurant top class and the two of us enjoyed the spa treatment. Overall there is absolutely nothing to complain about, would really recommend to anyone and I'd love to come back either for a meal or another stay in the future.

Had originally booked the Gleddoch but got a refund due to issues so was looking for somewhere else in the area to stay and ended up opting for the Bowfield. From the moment of booking to the moment I left, it was amazing. Zero hassles, welcoming staff, great rooms, amazing sleep, fabulous facilities, half the price of the Gleddoch hence great value. I ended up buying vouchers for Spa experiences for family members which is something I would usually never do but I knew they would be in good hands once I drove back down South. Seriously, if ever in the Glasgow area, stay here due to how handy it is for the area and the experience you will have. Truly incredible.

We were looking for a wee overnight stay and ended up finding a 2 night deal with the Bowfield Hotel which gave us £100 credit. As soon as we arrived on the Monday night the person in reception (sorry I forgot her name) was so lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much hassle. We needed salt later on as I forgot contact lense solution and she was more than happy to help. We ate breakfast both days in the Plumpy Duck restaurant as well as lunch and dinner one day. For the breakfasts and lunch we were served by Evonne who was also lovely, chatty and helpful. The breakfast we had on the first day, lunch and dinner was all excellent as were the cocktails we tried. The tables were very spaced out and the atmosphere was very relaxing and peaceful. We used the swimming pool/jacuzzi/sauna faculties several times throughout our stay. They were quite busy even at 8:30pm on the first night but this is to be expected given that people outwith the hotel could use the facilities too. My only slight criticism of the pool would be that the divider up the pool made it quite hard to swim if there were 6 people already in the pool swimming lanes. And a woman took her toddler and baby in the jacuzzi kind of ruining the relaxing spa vibe but that isn't the hotel's fault. The hotel room was lovely and clean with a very big shower and comfy bed. The towel rail came on at night and we couldn't get it off so the room got very toasty so I'd recommend leaving your windows open. We are only 20 mins away but definitely will be coming back. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

We were at the hotel for my daughters vow renewal. The whole day was lovely. Audrey was amazing and made the day run smoothly. The food we chose was delicious. Breakfast was good. My husband and I would definitely return, and we would recommend The Bowfield hotel for any event.

We booked an overnight with breakfast for my Girlfriends birthday, was impressed with the room on arrival, roses and robes for the facilities as requested, a very nice touch. The pool and other facilities are nice but very busy (Sunday afternoon, Monday morning). Enjoyed dinner in the plump duck, food and service was very good. Found almost all of the staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast the next day was buffet style and of good quality, although lacked choice beyond the usual options. Our gripe though was with the room it’s self at night, the walls are paper thin, and the footsteps from the people above were equally as loud. We had some rather loud neighbours, who continued well in to the night, we brought this to the attention at the time, as we literally could not sleep, however no action was taken. Spoke to the reception and manager the next morning, they were empathetic and apologised profusely, however, did leave a very disappointing memory of the hotel and we feel more could/should have been done. Not sure if we would return due to the very poor sound proofing, however, the I hope it’s something that can be worked on as the all round package our with this is very good.

Service in the restaurant very slow. Rooms and areas of the hotel tired and in need of a refurb. Excellent service received from Andrew in the bar, Linda, Rosie & Eva in the Spa. These staff members made our experience most enjoyable. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, just a little getaway for me and my partner to take some time out of busy life and the hotel did not disappoint. Room was clean and spacious. Pool facilities were great and the food at the plumpy duck was lovely. Special mention to all the staff too, they were all very welcoming, friendly and a credit to your hotel. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
