Lunga Estate

Lunga is one of the most beautiful places you could stay on the west coast of Scotland , with stunning views from the cabins we stayed in out toward the islands . The cabins are warm cosy & perfectly suited to a stay with friends or family . Even when the weather was stormy the views of the sea from the cabins kept us occupied. Oban isn’t far for a day trip & Lucy’s at Ardfern serves amazing food .

A wonderful place to holiday. Cabin was well appointed and had been made ready for our stay. While the cabin is secluded, it is only a short walk to the Marina. The view is fantastic. The Lunga team are always on hand with information about local events or answer any queries.

The cabin was lovely so quiet you didn’t know anyone else was around It was clean and tidy The hosts left the heaters on as I was arriving late meaning it was warm and cozy on my arrival The kitchen was extremely well equipped with a decent size fridge freezer so you could bring all the food you needed for your stay and never had to go to a shop The log burner easily heated the whole cabin The views were lovely and the amount of wildlife I saw was great The bed was extremely confusing and I had some of the best nights sleep I had away fri home There are lovely walks around the estate along the the shore or up into the woods

We had a wonderful time in Oyster Lodge. We were fortunate to have good weather during our stay which made it even better. The location is stunning. The lodge is very well equipped, even to the extent of supplying a pair of binoculars with which to watch the wildlife. The wildlife is amazing. We saw eagles, seals, harbour porpoises, otters, red squirrels and various seabirds all from the lodge. We'll be going back.

If your grandparents owned a holiday cabin on the coast with amazing views In spectacular countryside you’d probably love to go spend time there. And if you did you’d probably expect the decor to be dated and tired, the gardens a bit untended, the cabin needing a bit of bleach here and there - coz your grandparents are getting on a bit. But that wouldn’t spoil your time, and you’d appreciate the charm of the place anyway. This is what Beachcombers Cabin is like. We spent 6 happy days there. Great views. Great location. Lots of untapped potential. Would definitely recommend for unpretentious, no frills, no fuss value for money.

Very comfortable lodge in an idyllic setting. At the lodges by the shore, you can enjoy the Sound of Shuna whatever the weather. Paddleboarding, kayaking, wild sea swimming, and general sea contemplation, all are easy to do. Kilmartin Museum is nearby and offers free guided tours of the burial cairns and standing stones. Along with the exhibits in the museum the tours vivify the Bronze Age in this part of Europe.
