"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Arriving by train in Locarno, it was an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel, which sits adjacent to Lake Maggiore. Our room was spacious, with a well-eqipped kitchenette. The whole hotel - including our room, was spotlessly clean, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was included in the price and was superb - with a selection of breads, croissants (locally made), local jams, meats and cheese. We ate breakfast outside on the terrace each day which was nice. The swimming pool was great - and again, spotlessly clean. The hotel was very conveniently located, and it was an easy walk into the main town, the furnicular railway, the nearby Locarno Lido, and the boats which ply the lake. The Ticinio Ticket (issued to us by the hotel) gave free travel on all public transport in the Ticino area, and also discounts on various attractions. The local bus and train service was efficient and reliable. We'd recommend catching the ferry to Magadino (20 minutes, and free with the Ticino ticket) where there is a lovely (stoney) beach. The trip on the Furnicular (and the church at the top) was well worth a visit. We caught the Centovalli Train to Domodosolla (over the border in Italy), which passes through stunning landscapes. Travel on this train is free with Ticino ticket as fas as the border with Itally. Another trip was on the 321 bus to the village of Sonogno (again, free with the Ticino ticket). We'd highly recommend this hotel if visiting Locarno."

"We were only for a weekend in the newly renovated hotel because we celebrated with family on the nearby camping place birthday. Reception on 13 floors. Very nice and friendly reception. Our rooms on the 11th floor and these were very clean and you saw that the new were renovated. The bed was relatively hard but very comfortable. We have very well sleeped. In one room it is only “comical” that the window from the bathroom/WC was directly on our balcony and thus it was not possible to speak “private” on the balcony because the neighbor heard everything. Breakfast can be called “simply and simply”. At the entrance, you take a cube with the room number on the table. Unfortunately it is very badly written that it works like that. The table stands on the ground and some did not see it and then were not just politely pointed to it. The selection is reduced. Two cheeses, two meat, yoghurt, Müesli, bread. The most selection has been made for confectionery in the portioned packings. Negatively noted the lady who took the buffet. She took the half-bleach plates with cheese and meat from the window, although I stand there with empty plates and there are no new guests broad and broad. It took until she came back and I could serve. This is just an example of unhost friendly behaviour. Check out again nice. For a short stay the hotel is good for its three stars."
