Premier Inn Livingston (M8, Jct3)

Clean and pleasant room. Friendly staff. Loved the attached restaurant and bar. Would definitely return to this hotel without hesitation. Highly recommended

Great hotel with really friendly staff would highly recommend. Also the location is great as it's about a 15 minute drive to the shopping centre

If you want a quiet stay DO NOT stay here, we booked after landing early hours and we made the mistake booking here instead of airport one. We had the most unsettled broken noisy sleep ever. We told desk who had same complaints from other guests. Nothing was done was told to send an email. Heard nothing back was not worth the money! Bathroom was so dirty also.

I am a fan of Premier Inns and, as far as the room goes, this one was up to the usual high standard: good sized room and ensuite, tastefully decorated and furnished, very comfortable bed with a thick warm duvet, free wifi and a wonderful non-buffet breakfast. A few things were not so good: I had a ground floor room overlooking the car park and there were regular comings and goings by vehicles; the hotel is only 8 miles from Edinburgh Airport and aircraft noise was quite common; there is no grab rail in the shower which for an 80 year old man like me, makes getting in and out of the shower potentially hazardous.

The standard room is as you would expect - basic but with everything you'd need. Wasn't keen on the toilet roll situation as it's one of those dispensers that pops out little single sheets. The bed was the main issue though. The mattress dipped in the middle so you kept rolling in to each other. Pillows brick hard and spare ones too soft. We called the hotel before booking to ask if the standard rooms had King beds and were told yes. That's not true as we had a double - I'd not have booked if we'd been told that! Uncomfiest night ever, both feeling as if we were about to fall off the edge. If you're thinking of the meal deal, I wouldn't bother. The beefeater was fine for dinner but dreadful for breakfast. Absolutely nothing left at the Continental section 2 hours before the end of service apart from a couple slices of bread and a few pancakes obviously just out the freezer as they were still half frozen, nothing replenished and we were told they had run out of things like croissants. Hot food is order rather than buffet which I don't like, I prefer to pick my own items, and by the time it was brought out it was cold and greasy. Coffee machine gave out coffee that was almost stone cold.

I have been staying at the hotel for two weeks. The staff are absolutely fantastic. But I must say there is one member of staff in particular who I thought was above and beyond the other staff members. Her name is Megan and the job she does at the restaurant is second to none. It’s a pleasure to be served by Megan. Thank you for your kindness Megan

Premier Inn is my go to chain when taking short trips out. Unfortunately on this occasion it did not meet up to the usual standard. The hotel looked tired and on entering the room (103), we were met with a musty odour. I reported this to the receptionist, who, although was apologetic, could not help as the hotel was fully booked (due to the fringe, and tattoo). On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was up to its usual standard. If staying in Edinburgh again, I will look for an alternative

Hotel is very tired and outdated, breakfast is usually the highlight of a premier inn stay but this place is terrible, 4 different orders put on my table (just me) when correct order turned up eggs were snotty, blackpudding and hashbrowns were mushy and very underdone, beans were cold, not sure how you could get a breakfast this wrong

It was a beautiful place with a friendly workers that render assistance whenever you need it. Lovely experience and my family enjoyed it.
