I stayed at Hotel Marzia in Livigno from December 25th 2024, for three nights, and what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a nightmare I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, I was met with not just poor service, but outright aggression and cruelty from the manager, Marzia. I had simple, reasonable requests—like asking about boot heaters that weren’t working after a long day of skiing, or needing a locker that fit both of our snowboards. But instead of help, I was met with Marzia’s shouting, insults, and dismissiveness. When I explained my concerns, she erupted, calling me “crazy” and accusing me of complaining too much. She didn’t listen, didn’t care, and treated me like I was beneath her. Her behavior was so extreme and hostile that I genuinely feared for my safety. She yelled at me in front of other guests, calling me names, waving her hands in my face, and physically intimidating me. I felt humiliated and unsafe—something I never expected in a hotel, especially one I was paying to stay in. At one point, she even told me, “Go ski, it’s better for you,” as if I were a child and my concerns didn’t matter at all. The entire experience made me feel like I wasn’t a guest, but an inconvenience she wanted to get rid of. The worst part? I later found out that she’s probably the owner of the hotel. If the person who owns the place can treat a guest with such cruelty and disregard, what hope is there for any kind of respect or hospitality? I’ve traveled extensively and stayed in many places, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. Marzia’s behavior completely shattered my trip. No one should be treated this way—especially not in a place meant to offer comfort and care. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to feel safe, respected, and valued as a guest, please stay far away from Hotel Marzia.
