The Sandon Hotel

Absolutely shocking called in for a beer before the west ham game £10 for 2 pints of all we could call was pipe cleaner total waste of time and money don't ever go there we had 2 fabulous pints in the park just down the road and cost £7 will never again step inside door of this terrible pub

This isn’t a hotel but rather a hostel that looks like a prison. Very crammed and small rooms, with too much noise from the other guests being heard. They don’t even have a 24 hour reception for inquiries. I was so disgusted with the quality of the hotel that I decided not to stay there that night. I was promised a full refund as I was only in the hotel for 5-10 minutes, and I even received a receipt for the refund. After a week they charged my debit card through *********** and claimed that we had stayed there which was a big lie. All in all, I still haven’t got my money back after months of trying. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there no matter how desperate you are. They basically robbed me and lied to me. Can’t get any worse than that I guess. The only people this hotel is suitable for is drunk football fans that basically just want to pass out on the beds.

So to start with this was a rearranged Mother’s Day that should of happened in 2020 but was understandably postponed due to Covid, so anyway it went ahead today and it was absolutely AWFUL.! Because they originally refused to pay back the money (£30 each) after it was cancelled due to Covid it went ahead today, sat there for 3 hours without any entertainment apart from head banging music, finally got our dinner served with what I can only describe as “scrags of meat) and it was freezing cold! Then we got a supposedly “magic mike” style show which I’m pretty sure wouldn’t of even made it in The Grafton they wrote that bad. Followed my a compare who was that drunk nobody could even understand him so he started calling the crowd for everything as they had had enough of him slurring his words! Followed by a Bulgarian “comedian” who was that bad got sent off stage by the compare who stated he would pay him just to leave the stage. All in all it was an absolute waste of a Mother’s Day, I wouldn’t recommend The Sandon for anybody. It was obvious they got the cheapest and worst entertainment around due to the fact the had to “honour” the money they refused to refund everybody who paid in 2020. Absolute joke of a place and the management should be ashamed.

I went to the Sandon Hotel on a hospitality package, there really are no words to describe how bad the experience was!!!!!! The hotel was filthy, the staff were extremely unprofessional ,the food and drink, well there really are no words to describe it surfice to say it was staff canteen quality!!!! I booked this package with Champion Travel in Letterkenny, Ireland, so anyone thinking of booking this package in the future, don't!!!!! I cannot emphsise this enough, a complete and utterly rip off.This was a present for my husband's 60th birthday and to say I was embarrassed when we turned up to this establishment is an understatement!!! I know it's an old building but that is no excuse for the experience we had.Hard earned money spent on this excuse for a hospitality package, shocking!!!!!!!!
