Hotel Atilius

Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni in questo meraviglioso hotel con mia moglie. All'arrivo ci aspettavano e ci hanno accolto molto cordialmente alla reception. Ci hanno aiutato a portare i nostri bagagli pesanti fino alla camera sotto la pioggia. La stanza era molto pulita e luminosa, con una vista stupenda sul lago. La zona relax vicino alla piscina è molto comoda. Vorrei sottolineare in particolare le colazioni eccezionali con un'ampia scelta di piatti! Sicuramente ci fermerei di nuovo!

positiv: Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt. Das Frühstücksangebot ist gut. negativ: 1) Lärm: Das Hotel liegt oberhalb einer sehr stark befahrenen Hauptstraße entlang des Gardasees und in Nähe eines Tunnelausgangs. Tagsüber ist es sehr laut bis zu den ganz oberen gelegenen Zimmern. Ein ruhiger Aufenthalt am Pool ist dadurch nicht möglich trotz des sehr schönen Blicks auf den Gardasee. Nachts ist es einigermaßen ruhig. Beim Frühstück auf der Terrasse sitzt man unmittelbar in Straßennähe mit Blick auf die vorbeifahrenden Autos. Das sollte man mitberücksichtigen. 2) Ausstattung der Zimmer: Wir hatten eine größere Junior-Suite gebucht. Diese war sehr karg und ungemütlich eingerichtet. Die Kleidung für 1 Woche Aufenthalt und zwei Personen passte nicht in den kleinen Kleiderschrank, sodass wir z.T. aus dem Koffer leben mussten. 3) Balkon / Terrasse: Der Balkon ist sehr klein und mit harter Bestuhlung (Kunststoff) ausgestattet. Abends trug ich den Zimmersessel auf den Balkon, um einigermaßen gemütlich lesen zu können. Meine Bitte, mir einen Sitzsack, den ich auf einigen Balkonen sah, zur Verfügung zu stellen, wurde knallhart abgelehnt. Es gibt keinen Wäscheständer zum Aufhängen von Badesachen. 4) Nähe zu den Zimmernachbarn: Auf dem Balkon oder der Terrasse hat man keinerlei Privatsphäre. Verglaste Geländer bieten einen unmittelbaren Blick auf den Nachbarn. 5) Entfernung zu Limone oder Restaurants: Der ca. 30-minütige Fußmarsch nach Limone ist recht anstrengend. Der Hotelshuttle kostet 2,50 Euro pro Person für einen Weg.

We have just returned from a 2-week break in Limone and we have had a fabulous time at Hotel Atilius. The hotel is very modern and is very well looked after, the rooms, public areas, and the grounds of the hotel are immaculately kept. The hotel is situated on the edge of Limone so is nice and quiet, the main road along the lake passes quite close to the hotel but we were rarely aware of it and never found traffic noise to be a problem. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Limone, mostly along a quite pedestrian/cycle way. The hotel does offer a shuttle into town for a small fee but we never felt the need to use it. Our room, although not large was perfectly OK and had a nice modern bathroom with a good shower. The bed was very comfortable and the tea and coffee making facilities were much appreciated. We had a small terrace outside our room which was a great place to sit, relax and gaze over the lake. The pool area was very nice, it was kept spotlessly clean with plenty of sun beds with parasols and the additional benefit of shade from numerous olive trees. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and evening meal. There was a wide choice of food for morning and evening and all was cooked and prepared beautifully. We really enjoyed the choice of dishes available at the “show cooking” counter. Anyone dining here should be sure to sample the pizzas on offer, they were very tasty !! Finally, the staff at the hotel are superb. Service was excellent and all the staff we met were very friendly. This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and we would certainly go back there if we holidayed on Lake Garda again. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so enjoyable.
