Grecotel-Luxme Daphnila Bay Dassia

Servizio buono, salvo un problema con la prenotazione del taxi per il ritorno (alla reception si sono dimenticati di prenotare il taxi, nonostante abbiamo fatto richiesto alle 10 di mattina per le 16:45 del pomeriggio). Per il resto bella struttura, tenuta molto bene, cibo buono e vario (ottima la possibilità di scegliere tra i vari ristoranti dove mangiare), spiaggia un pò piccina, ma il prato alle spalle con tutte le piante a fare ombra è il top.

Lovely hotel- nice room ( garden view main hotel) - delicious food ( vegan/ vegetarian options) - pool not huge could become crowded easily in high season. However there is nice calm water at the beach- almost lake like in appearance during stay and I was still able to manage a swim - not too cold- there is also beautiful lush greenery to relax in next to beach. Definitely a slight trek to the beach and back to Hotel but a great way to burn off some calories! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Hotel.

This was booked via easyjet holidays fairly last minute. I did not realise at time of booking that it was the English October week. This meant there were a lot of children enjoying themselves and having fun which is exactly what parents want. The pool is fairly small and in October the sun is away from there by the afternoon. Most people head to the beach which although narrow there are plenty of Sun beds.There are also lush greenery. There is a beach bar and buffet lunch restaurant and a place for ice cream and freshly made crepes there also. The water is very calm and inflatables were being used without issue. Yes there is a slight trek back up to the Hotel but I have been in other Hotels where it is more of a hike than this one. I didn’t find the room dated at all - in fact it added character to the room. I also had a bath ( I was a garden view in the hotel) which was a real bonus. The food is fantastic. I am a vegetarian and the choice of fresh salad was a delight. As others have reported breakfast was excellent. Ifelt it added character to room

Con: Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Gäste bestand während unseres Aufenthaltes aus Familien mit kleinen Kindern/Babys die den ganzen Tag über schrien und herumtobten und mit ihren Fingern im Buffetessen waren. Dies ist eindeutig ein Kinder/Familienhotel - was so jedoch leider nicht auf der Hotelwebsite kommuniziert wird. Als Erwachsener hier zu entspannen war aufgrund der dauerhaften Lärmkulisse im Restaurant, am Stand oder am Pool nicht möglich. Das Hotel und die Anlage sind in die Jahre gekommen und entsprechen eher 3 als 4,5 Sternen. Auch wenn die Anlage sauber war - es bröckeln an allen Ecken und Enden der Putz und die Farbe. Einige Gäste entsprachen eher dem Niveau eines 2 Sterne Hotels - Badekleidung und Shorts zum Abendessen, Finger im Buffetessen und Füße auf den Stühlen gehörten hier zum guten Ton (für das Benehmen der Gäste kann natürlich das Hotel nichts). Pro: Der Strand des Hotels ist ausgesprochen schön, mit klarem Wasser und in einer sehr schönen Bucht gelegen. ‌Sehr nettes und extrem aufmerksames Personal am Strand, in den Restaurants und am Empfang, das um die Gäste bemüht ist - 5 Sterne Service. ‌Die Bungalows sind sehr groß und modern eingerichtet. ‌Am Buffet gibt es auch regionale Speisen und eine abwechslungsreiche Auswahl. Die Lage des Hotels in der Mitte der Insel und in der Nähe der Hauptstadt ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge mit dem Auto. F‌azit: Leider entspricht das Hotel nicht dem Niveau, das man sonst von Grecotel LUXME gewöhnt ist. Alles in allem eher ein 3 Sternehotel für Familien, nicht für einen ruhigen Entspannungsurlaub geeignet und definitiv auch kein Luxuserlebnis. Wir würden aufgrund unserer Erfahrung leider kein zweites Mal hierherkommen.

Good and bad things to say about this hotel. Let’s start with bad. When we arrived we where told there was a technical issue with our room so we couldn’t go to our room for two nights, they put us in a bungalow for two nights (they did give us a free bus trip into old Corfu town which is €10 each) so we had to get on a golf cart to take us to the bungalow and had to phone reception to get another cart back to the hotel, now the next day we asked what time we could have our actual room and she let slip the previous family will be checking out at 11 the next day. Which she then tried to take back when she realised what she had said. So they had double booked our room which we had booked for over a year and we spoke to two other family’s and they did the same thing to them. There was little to no entertainment on a night, they didn’t even play music in the bar area. The area around the pool was tiny and the sun beds were comfortable but really low to the ground making it hard for some people to get up of plus there wasn’t many of them, god knows what it’ll be like in peak season. The WiFi was terrible also The bar man at the pool bar during the day was very rude and arrogant. The good All the other staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious coming from a meat eater and a vegetarian. We both had a lot to choose from. The hotel itself was spotless. There was always someone cleaning it and a man cleaning the pools every single morning. We will go back to Corfu but not this hotel unfortunately all the bad outweighs the good, especially the room situation and we couldn’t unpack for two days.

Me my husband along with my mother and father visited on 3rd-13th of October room 608 & 605 POSITIVES: my father became unwell the day we arrived and the hotel were amazing moving are rooms so my father didn’t have to navigate the steep hill. The food was amazing in the buffet the breakfast omelettes and the chef doing them were excellent.And the food was superb in the reservation restaurant's. The drinks were all named and not the cheap stuff you usually get. The whole complex was exceptional clean from the pool the beach and grounds surrounding the hotel. The cleaner attended are rooms everyday and did a brilliant job and was very friendly. NEGATIVES: Well I say negatives but some really can’t be helped due to Mother Nature The wasps were a pain and quite annoying The main pool was freezing and hardly anyone was in there I feel because of how cold it was there is a small warmer pool but it is undercover and quite dark and gloomy. The hotel is built into a steep hill and access to the beach and some rooms is down a steep slope a golf buggy or car is available to take you up and down which is quick and efficient. We booked the Greek night in the beach restaurant and it started raining pretty hard I asked the receptionist if the booking would still be going ahead before I booked the car to take us down and was informed yes only to get down there and be told no it was cancelled where me and my family proceeded to get soaked while we waited for the car to come back and collect us. The majority of the staff were friendly accommodating and helpful but there were a few in particular that weren’t Blonde receptionist was blunt and unhelpful Car/ buggy driver small with glasses Was rude and in a rush Barman at the pool bar Could try smiling and being more friendly. Girl with orange hair serves the cakes She was very condescending and treated people like they were children if they touched the display case. But all and all it was a lovely hotel and I would 100% recommend it and would go back again Hopefully next time it won’t rain so much (Like I said Mother Nature)

Family holiday for our 4yr old and 11yr old. The hotel is very nice, the drinks are good and the majority of the staff were brilliant. The rooms are not the best at all. We even paid for not so much an upgrade but one that was updated 6 years ago. Not updated to a high standard thats for sure. The balcony was probably the worst I've ever come across. The room full of ants and there was always a terrible smell. This hotel is apparently good for families but the lack of kids entertainment and facilities was not good at all. The shallow pool at the front of the hotel was always dirty, and the set of swings next to that look about 40 years old with torn up astroturf. There was also no selection on offer for children's meals. Other than spaghetti with Bolognese sauce every single night for 10 days. Evening entertainment lasted 25 minutes. Before and after that, there is no music, nothing to keep people occupied or entertained. It really is a shambles compared to other hotels and resorts. Back to the food, it was always luke warm at best. Overall, I definitely would not recommend to come here with children thinking it will.be a good family resort, as it really isn't. I have paid half the price for other resorts in Europe and have enjoyed them a lot more. I don't like to leave reviews unless I feel a real need to, but this holiday was Definitely underwhelming. Me and my wife work very hard and look forward to having a break with our children, unfortunately this time was ruined by a wrong choice of hotel.

Hôtel très bien conçu, très propre, et bénéficiant d'une très bonne situation. Très bonne qualité de restauration, et un all-inclusive très complet. Le service est professionnel, très attentif aux besoins des clients Nous avons testé les chambres du bâtiment central, et les bungalows...les deux ont leurs avantages. Les horaires des bars et des restaurants sont bien pensés, pour assurer une couverture efficace des journées et des soirées. Un excellent séjour

So before I begin ...I feel it important to confess our first family holiday last year to Eden roc in Rhodes will be incomparable. The second confession I make is sitting the week before arriving to Grecotel Daphnila bay reading trip advisor reviews.... which put an unnecessary sour taste in my mouth. First the negatives .... it will take me less time! We stayed in a bungalow ( 2+ 6 year old) the shower leaked a little so on a tike floor it made it a bit of an accident waiting to happen. One thing the room lacked would be a mirror .... its definitely not so easy sharing one in the bathroom! There is the usual sunbed nabbers up at the crack of dawn around the swimming pool but the pool staff are very good at kicking them off within 45 minutes! When eating outside ther is the odd wasp but unlike UK wasps, all that is required is a little swat! Maybe the Mediterranean sun makes them less grumpy that the Scottish Highland cold temps! So positives..... the hot stone! It's a must, I had the salmon and it was delicious. My partner had the pork and we were both as delighted with the food as the experience. The staff are attentive and on hand for anything. We never went thirsty and certainly never starved. The beach is pebbly but a pair of water shoes it is the most amazing bay. The life guards are so on the ball.... keeping an eye both at the pools and the beach. They are up out their seat, keeping check, our son managed to cut his feet and he was there with dressings and even said hello the next day 😉. Inga from customer relations arranged a surprise birthday cake for my partner at the Asian restaurant with not a moments hesitation. The room was spacious and the beds comfy, good air con. Glass doors on the toilet.... maybe slightly awkward 😅. Buffet was a great selection, always something to have.... the salt baked salmon was amazing! The ice-cream and crepes at the beach were amazing! My 6vyear old sampled on a daily basis ! The bar staff were always very friendly and never minded when I was a diva and asked for my margaritas to be made with lime n not lemon! Very easy location to get the bus into Corfu town. Overall I've had a fab holiday and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
