We had dined here before so we knew the quality of the meals provided. No complaints from our party of seven and once again our evening meals were fabulous and the service excellent. Hope to see you again on our next visit to the area. Hard to pick out any of the meals as the best as all were very tasty, but really enjoyed finishing off with the Pistachio Soufflé 😋

Sunday lunch, was excellent. Starters good value( special lower price if you have a main) Roast was very good , our Beef tender, good veg. Soufflé for desert. It’s very well run, service is the best . Ambiance is good. Lewes is lucky to have the recently renovated restaurant, bar and hotel.

We had an excellent stay for a family event. The rooms are well renovated, but do be aware this is an old coaching inn & the floors are uneven & often on a slope with small steps between the levels, Due to the age of the hotel, there is no air conditioning. However, with the fan on fully & open windows we had a good nights sleep in very comfortable beds & soft pillows. We had a family meal for 16 people. The food was good & the staff were excellent _attentive & responsive to our many requests! It made an excellent celebration in the lovely restaurant & terrace with stunning views across the South Downs. Thank you team White Heart.

We had a family Sunday lunch at the White Hart and the food was superb (very large portions) and the service was exemplary. We had a 94 year old with us and they could not have done more to make her feel comfortable, from reducing the portion size (which they did not charge for) to making sure, she was comfortable. It was first class service and would highly recommend it. The servers name was Lee.

Came for Sunday Lunch as we were celebrating our anniversary and this is where we had our Wedding Reception 40 years ago! The welcome we received was terrific and the complimentary glass of fizz was a lovely touch, thankyou. Our Roasts were delicious and the service was just perfect 🥰 The hotel has undergone a superb renovation, we brought along a few photos to compare and reminisce. We won't wait another forty years to return.

We came in ‘off the street” in the early morning when we discovered that our overnight stay in nearby village did not do breakfast. Beautiful old hotel and proud of its decor. Our breakfast was fantastic. I had perfect Eggs Royale and my husband had a hearty full English breakfast. It was all excellent but highest praise goes to their coffee as most hotels do not do coffee well. Thank you to the unseen chef! Also, we had a wonderfully calm man taking the orders. It was quite busy with everyone arriving at the same time but he coped so well.
