We lived in the pines accommodation which as soon as you opened the door the smell of dampness hit you. I felt I could taste it. I wanted to go home because of this.

If you are impressed by the pictures and fancy a country house hotel in the grand style- move on. It is the centre for a resort of self-catering family holiday chalets, and if you want reasonable pricing, cleanliness and somewhere for the kids to cycle and swim, it does the job quite well at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly, food was OK and the beds and bathroom facility were all efficient and functioning, it’s just not somewhere you feel pampered.

A truly beautiful hotel set in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The staff are warm and attentive, both at reception and in the restaurant, making you feel genuinely welcome throughout your stay. The food is excellent, with delicious options at both breakfast and dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, quality, and tranquility.

Our family rated this resort one star due to poor customer service and outdated room amenities. The cons outweigh the pros. You should look elsewhere for accommodations. PROS Large villa Location good for visiting Scotland. Lots of amenities located on property. CONS Very poor staff communication. We sent four emails, before and after our stay, and received no responses. We know they received them because when we spoke, they admitted they got them but didn’t respond. We asked for one mid-week towel exchange. We were charged for two. We sent an email, no response. We made an international call to ask them to correct this. Three months later, we still have the double charge. Six people in the villa can testify that there was only one towel exchange. Water heater in the villa operates for four hours at a time, then turns off. You have to reset it again each time to reheat the water. Inconvenient for a family of six. There is no coffee maker. The front desk provided a small French press. In a large villa, it is inconvenient if you have four to six adults drinking coffee. Showers have an odd electric pump device that is very loud and must be turned on to use the shower. In one bathroom, the button to turn on the shower pump is in the bedroom (not the bathroom) half way up the wall and unmarked. Shower was completely inoperative until we located the power switch. No instructions were provided. They should install regular hot/cold valves like 99% of the world. Combination clothes washer/dryer. Dryer function did not work. We have used these in other locations in our travels, but after 3.5 hours of drying, clothes were still wet. We informed the front desk about this. No response. There are racks in the laundry room, but clothes were so wet coming out of the washer that after 48 hours, they were still wet. We asked for a fan to help dry our clothes but they have none at the resort. We left with wet clothing in our luggage. There are no towel bars or hooks in the bathroom to hang your bath towels (or wet clothes) on to dry, so we had to hang them on the dresser handles, the TV or the door. There are no fans and no A/C, so you have to open the windows for cool air. There are no window screens, you open the window and bugs fly in your bedroom all night. There are better places to stay.

Great For Kids It was great for the kids. Lots of fun things to do like slip n slide, go karts, slime making and float time in the pool but the villa was extremely tired with dated furnishings. Staff were always polite, helpful and friendly. Horse riding on site was super and the grounds are beautiful.

Conquered! Staff were very helpful and pleasant on arrival , also throughout our stay The accommodation was fantastic, very clean and everything thought about! It was a bonus to have breakfast which was beautifully cooked Facilities was too much for our overnight stay , but will be going back x
