Albatros Beach Hotel

Hôtel très agréable et propre, sur la plage. Lits confortables. Personnel charmant. Bien situé. proche de la magnifique Taormina et de l'Etna. Rien à redire, si ce n'est qu'hors saison l'endroit est fort calme et la plage n'est pas ouverte (il n'y pas de transats).

Amazing hotel, modern, walk in shower, very friendly staff, always smiling. Quiet at night and the food was out of this world.. It is probably the best hotel food I have ever eaten. I want to carrying the restaurant and chef on my back and take it on my holiday wherever I go in future.

Questa è la nostra terza volta consecutiva in questo meraviglioso hotel, e ogni anno ci sorprende sempre di più. Viaggiamo con il nostro bambino di 3 anni e non potremmo essere più soddisfatti dell'accoglienza e del servizio ricevuti. L'ambiente è incredibilmente ospitale, perfetto per chi viaggia con bambini. I camerieri sono estremamente professionali, cordiali e accoglienti. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Lucy, la cui cortesia, gentilezza e cordialità sono davvero uniche. È sempre pronta a fare il possibile per agevolare le famiglie con bambini, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Non possiamo che consigliare questo hotel a tutti, soprattutto a chi viaggia con i più piccoli. Grazie a tutto lo staff per aver reso la nostra vacanza speciale!

All you would want in a hotel: large room, good bedding, nice bathroom with excellent shower, good proper bed for our teenage daughter (not a sofa bed), tea/coffee facilities (rare in Italy), good balcony. We had a room at the back with a view to the back street, probably because we bought a package with EasyJet. The breakfast is excellent but the food at the restaurant for dinner can be a hit and miss. Sometimes there was an awfully strong sewage smell from the bathroom. I reckon this is due to the heavy rain. We found that closing the bathroom door is enough to keep the bad smell from the room.

Sensational newish hotel, right opposite the beach. Clean, neat, tidy with exceedingly good and helpful management. Dining room was lovely - as were the meals, the bar is very attractive and set away from through pedestrian movements and a reading room off the bar is a great idea! The hotel even has its own beach umbrellas and sun-beds at the beach across the road for no charge if you're in house...!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel. (Oct 24) In arrival it appeared very nice & the wife even commented “wow baby, this is lovely “. We were greeted nicely & given our room cards. We went to our room & thought it was basic but pleasant & had a nice side view of the ocean. There were items in the fridge that we did not partake in many & the snacks on the side we only had a couple. Within minutes of being in our room we went into the bathroom to freshen up & the towel holder by the sink fell off - it looked like someone had tried to glue it on as you can see in the picture. We reported it to the staff but nothing happened! Being British we like our tea & coffee & the amount left for a couple was totally inadequate & ran out after 1 cup each! We did request some extra from the reception & were looked at like we had asked for the contents of the safe but 2 coffee pods & 2 creams were brought up to our room (still inadequate but better than nothing). It was replaced in the morning but we did ask for more on our return after going out in the evening. This time we asked for sugar too & when it came to the room we received 2 coffee pods, 1 cream & 2 toothpicks!! To be honest, when the lady came to clean our room we asked her for more & we had to take some sugar from the restaurant otherwise we wouldn’t have any. My wife said one of the waitresses saw me & for the remaining days of our stay, the staff kept looking at us like I’d stolen the Crown Jewels!! The food was “different ”! It may be an alacarte restaurant but sometimes there was absolutely NOTHING on the menu we liked so dined out - I did try most of the pastas which were very tasty & I even ate swordfish. I must admit, I loved the pastry with fruits. Breakfast was poor. Yoghurts, toast, cereals & fruits were ok but the “bacon” was always greasy & dry & the scrambled egg was like something out of the quatermass experiment & always soggy & wet. I got charged for eating a packet of peanuts but no reimbursement for not liking anything on the menu! I’m afraid that this hotel, to me, seems to be catering to the well off posher pensioners who like that sort of food & environment but we didn’t. Letojanni is a lovely quaint area where you have to search the backstreets to find shops for items you need & we didn’t meet one person we didn’t like & all were very pleasant & helpful We went on the hop on hop off bus with “Mario” the driver who was very nice & helpful & took us to the port of Naxos & to be honest if we went again we would probably stay there.
