Pela

Voor de t****e keer in hotel Pela verbleven. Het is een uitstekend klein hotelletje met een vriendelijke ontspannen sfeer. De gastvrijheid en de opvolging van de eigenares Tekla zorgen voor een ontspannen vakantie. Veel luxe moet men niet verwachten maar het hotel is netjes en er is een eenvoudige, verzorgde Griekse keuken. Skala Kallonis ligt op wandelafstand langs de kust en heeft een vissershaventje met een aantal lekkere restaurantjes. Wie het het eiland wil bezoeken kan dit best met een huurwagen of een begeleide rondrit. Op Lesbos zijn er ook heel wat bewegwijzerde wandelingen. Een aanrader.

Our first time in Lesvos, the Pela was an amazing stay. Thekla runs the place and is a truly exceptional hostess, always available, always cheerful, helpful and nothing too much trouble without being intrusive. Room are fairly basic but great and it is so quiet! Pool area very good, plenty of places to rest and relax. A short walk to a beautiful quiet beach and a little further to a small fishing village. Amazing food at the hotel, the daily menu is wonderful and all cooked freshly every day, drinks are plentiful and good value. Would highly recommend.

Friendly, well run hotel. Popular with birders. The owner Thekla is a force of nature. Food is standard greek cuisine and very nice too. Rooms are quite basic but OK if you are out all day chasing birds. Didn't try the pool but it looked inviting.

This is a great hotel in Skala Kallonis. I was here on a birdwatching holiday with a group from the UK. From the time we stepped into the hotel, hospitality was outstanding. Thekla seems to be always there and has an amazing memory. The rooms are rather simple and they are typical of Greek island hotels. There is a swimming pool, but it was too cold to try. The man cleaning the pool was there every day before breakfast. We had 4 meals at the hotel and all were of good quality. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel.

The Pela is a lovely very friendly hotel, where anything is no trouble.The rooms are clean and the beds extremely comfortable.The food is very good and available all day. Thank you Thekla for all you do for your guests and animals , also many thanks to Dion. We had a lovely holiday .

Myself and Husband were staying at a nearby hotel and on our first night of arrival was recommended to go to their bar as our hotel bar was closed. As soon as we arrived Thelka welcomed us, there was a lovely atmosphere around the hotel, everyone relaxed with gentle background music. Sadly the hotel we stayed at was not as expected and the following day we went back to Pela for drinks on the evening, we asked Thelka if we were able to use their pool if we purchased drinks and food etc, she was so kind and welcomed us, Thelka and Dion were very attentive to their guests, the pool area and dining area were spotless, a well organised establishment with staff that genuinely put their guests first. Although we never stayed in the hotel rooms from the outside they looked clean and well looked after, we ate lunch three times there and on each occasion the food was tasty. I can honestly say if we ever came back to the area Pela would be the hotel I would choose based on Thelka and Dion's hospitality. We really enjoyed the time we spent there Thankyou for having us Sonia and Wayne 😊
