Miraval Berkshires Resort & Spa - All Inclusive Adults Only

Evidently I had the most economical room category. it was a disappointment. it was dark and not what I was expecting at this caliber of spa / resort. the bed was VERY comfortable. The food was superb and the spa was serene & very pleasant. There were a lot of fee-based activities. I was looking for activities that wouldn't cost me to spend an additional amount of money since the trip was costly to begin with. Might come back in a different season to take advantage of more out door activities.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights one of which was a reward night. Prior reviews had me skeptical about the front desk but all was fine at our early afternoon check-in. Several other times we tried to reach the front desk and the phone rang off the hook or the answering service came on. We had requested light housekeeping after our first night. We had asked the cleaning staff we saw in the hallway and the again reminded the front desk but when we returned at 9PM after a long evening of skiing the room had not been serviced. We could manage with our unmade beds but the bigger problem was that everyone wanted to take a shower and we needed new bath towels. When we called the front desk for towels and they finally arrived, they brought us hand towels. On a second try they brought us the bath towels so we could all take a hot shower after a day of skiing. Unfortunately, by that time it was very late for all of us and we were exhausted. I informed the front desk of the lack of housekeeping at check-out and the hotel did add more reward points to my account for the inconvenience. We did enjoy breakfast once we were able to find the location at the Wyndhurst Mansion. We had many different items on the menu, and everyone enjoyed their breakfast. The waitstaff was nice too. The indoor pool area was nice but our children weren't in the pool long before they were asked to leave due to a scheduled water aerobics class.

I had the most wonderful time here for 3 days and 2 nights in February. Not one complaint. The food, the ambiance, the classes, the spa treatments - all contributed to a fantastic solo trip. I loved all the places to curl up and read. And everyone who worked there was so kind and happy to help.
