The location is perfect but the room standard is varied. Couple months back I stayed in the renovated room without bath but shower. I wanted to the same type of room this time but I was put into a disable room which had some very strong chemical smell and the bathroom conditions was really bad with mould and colour. Tried to change room but was not allowed. They said they could only move me to another disable room even I paid the same price for the renovated room.

I used to like this Premier Inn as I was quite happy with my previous stay.
However this time we were allocated with a low floor and not renovated room. When I requested for room change, I was requested to wait at the lobby till 3:30pm whilst the check-in time printed in the hotel confirmation was 2pm.
During the stay there was no room cleaning, and no replenishment of toiletries which was made our stay not comfy.
Pictures #1 and 2 are room not renovated and pictures #3 and 4 the refurbished one.

We have had a fabulous time at this hotel. The staff have all been excellent particularly Paula at breakfast. We will definitely stay again as it’s clean, comfortable and conveniently placed for the shops. It’s also very close to the train.

Great central hotel ideal for business amd leisure. Ideally placed for a short walk into the city centre, train staion amd restraunts A mention for Paula who was on duty in the restraunt at breakfast time; greeted you every morning with a "Hello", and friendly word and made sure you were ok

I have been staying at this hotel frequently for work for the past 3 years and have to say that the standard is very good. The food is great and the staff are very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I’m always greeted by Paula at breakfast and she always goes out of her way to make breakfast and indeed my stay, a very pleasant one. Keep up the great work Jason 😊

Don't waste your money. It was unclean and smelt of urine. I had booked a room for one person online and I was put in an accessibility room - with really degraded furnishings and an accessible wet room. I asked to change rooms and was told the hotel was fully booked. The person on reception said that it was my responsibility to check the booking as it would have had the word accessible in small print somewhere. I said that that was unusual to blame me for having a room that smelled of urine. She offered to come up with some air freshener. It was a masterclass in passive aggression and not what you'd expect from a hotel, to blame the client for a substandard room. It was £82 for a room I couldn't sleep in.

The service was very poor, the hotel was under staffed. I booked a family room for an adult and two children upon arrival we was only catered for one adult and one child. I questioned this and was rest assured an additional bed would be provided the following day as it was too late to set this up now. Out all day at a dance competition arrived back at the hotel to our key card not working resulting in us walking down 10 flights of stairs as you needed a key card to activate the lift. We waited at least 20 minutes to be seen, while sorting out the key card I asked if the additional bed was now ready, they told me yes if I made a request, got to my room no extra bed provided!! Evening meal booked had to wait over 25 minutes to be served to then be told the kitchen was closing in 2 minutes therefore limited availability on the menu!!

Excellent bed and pillows. Very quiet so really good night’s sleep. Aircon didn’t work so the room was cold. WiFi was only working sporadically in some areas. Evening meal was not as ordered and no apology nor attempt to rectify it. Breakfast was excellent. The lounge area has loads of charging points for phones and laptops plus a work area. Can’t register more than 1 room key on the self-register stations

Quite simply - the best 'chain' hotel we have stayed in. Clean and comfortable room, excellent location, sensibly priced car parking facilities. The only hotel we have ever stayed in that offered Black Pudding and Crumpets in the Buffet Breakfast menu - Brilliant. The staff were exemplary and a credit to Premier Inn. During our stay we interacted with managerial, reception, restaurant/bar, housekeeping and maintenance personnel. Every body we spoke to to was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Thankyou Premier Inn, St Georges Tower, Leicester City Centre - I'm sure we will be back in the future.
