The location is perfect but the room standard is varied. Couple months back I stayed in the renovated room without bath but shower. I wanted to the same type of room this time but I was put into a disable room which had some very strong chemical smell and the bathroom conditions was really bad with mould and colour. Tried to change room but was not allowed. They said they could only move me to another disable room even I paid the same price for the renovated room.

Great stay, definitely worth getting a premium room as there's no guarantee, you'll be on the nicer floors if the hotel is full. Sabrina and Naomi were quick with check ins on the upgraded self check in machines, evening meal was really nice. Hotel is definitely due an upgrade but that doesn't take away from a good sleep and pleasant staff.

Bed was the best part of my stay, cozy and comfy! I was on the 12th floor, which to begin with I thought was bad, but it was so quiet and it had great views! The room was clean and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, a small walk from the train station, I could see the building from far away too as it is so tall and colourful. The staff were friendly, but there didn't appear to be enough staff available to help at reception, so the queues on check in and out were a little annoying. Especially when there was staff sat in the office. But other than that, very satisfied.

Hotel check in was easy on screens when arriving to hotel and wasn't too busy (around 7pm). Building is quite dated looking on the outside and although ground floor areas look like they have been refreshed this doesn't extend to lifts, corridors or bedroom. Bathroom very dated and shower not easy to get in or out off with fairly high bath to step into and no grab rail on wall. I do not have accessibility needs but it felt quite unsafe especially when wet. Lipstick marks on the mirror in main bedroom. Had I noticed this before I had showered and gotten half ready to leave the hotel for the evening I would have requested a different room. I tried to find a member of staff to request cleaning however was in a rush and there was no one on reception. Comfortable bed though alot of light gets through the curtains in the morning. Lifts were very busy in the morning and ended up taking the stairs when leaving after waiting a while. Overall it wasn't great but if you just need somewhere to sleep then there are certainly worse options out there.

Lovely stay, staff very helpful, when we came down to get a drink before we left, we needed the sofa bed making up and the nice receptionist said she would be up to sort that out while we went out to meet friends for food. Breakfast was plentiful and hot we will stay here again.
