We booked a room at this hotel for an overnight stay. We appreciated it was budget but assumed that there would be a decent level of cleanliness. As you'll see from the photos this wasn't the case. The bed hadn't been made properly, the sheets were still rumpled when we lifted the blankets. The room had only had a cursory cleaning with the skirting boards and heater looking like they'd never even been wiped down let alone washed. Definitely won't be staying here again and would advise others not too unless you have no other options.

My husband and I plan to stay at the hotel for one night. Once we’ve been given the key, we were told where the room was, we had to go through a very dingy hall with a duct tape square on the floor. Within 10 seconds of entering the room we’d made up our mind there was no way we could stay there. It was smelly and so very dirty. I wasn’t even sure if the bed sheets were clean. t The blue sofa and the bathroom were also filthy. We went straight back to the reception and handed the key, the man behind the counter asked why we were leaving so soon and I told him about the dirt. He then said he was sorry. I wish I’d read these reviews beforehand! The hotel was one of those gifts that people can buy and the person receiving it books which ever hotel looks the best, therefore, we weren’t entitled to a refund. To be honest, I wouldn’t want to wait around arguing about a refund for fear of cockroaches jumping on me or my luggage!!

Saw poor reviews and feel they have been unfairly judged, it is a budget hotel and is a little tired, however it was clean comfortable, good shower, lovely room nice view and very quiet and thankfully cool on the hottest day of the year, lovely staff and the coffee machine in reception is fab.

check in was inconvenient For the price i paid, it was what i expected, However my main issue as as follows. Upon booking via the hotels website i was notified i would need to contact the hotel if i was arriving after 10pm, i would be coming from a festival so i message through the hotels site and no answer so rang the number provided and was put to a generic help line who had to give me another number. I was then told to call on the day around 6pm (not sure why it had to be on the day when i was giving them notice 5 days in advance)....Ever way as said i was at a festival and was struggling to call, in the end my girlfriend had to call up and get the details for me. On top of this i feel the place needs a little referb as some things put me off... - Being able to just stroll into an unattended hotel with no lock of keypad on the main door. - No lock on the inside of my room (i did need a physical key but sometimes you want that extra lock. - pre existing tape on the door peep hole was a little worrying. - Marks and bits of paint missing all over the room as well as stains on the bed frames. - I was also unsure if the bed was broken or if the mattress was memory foam as i sank into it on any movement, so at first it was hard to get comfortable but it did the job.
