"We stayed on a Saturday night and found it to be a pleasant hotel with lovely staff, particularly Andreas who greeted us on arrival. Our room was very spacious and clean, the bathroom was a bit tired but more than acceptable. It's conveniently located next to the train station and as to be expected, it was a bit noisy but the double windows did well to shut most of it out. I wear earplugs to sleep so didn't hear a thing but my husband did. The bed was very comfy although it might have been nice to have two pillows each. Other than that, I thought it was good value for money and very pleasant given it's 2 star rating."

"This is the third time I have stayed. I come up for work at the university an every time I have stayed I kick myself for not remembering to avoid this place. This time - I’d had a confirmation email for the booking to suggest that check in was at 2pm. I thought this was great as I arrived at 2:20 and could go and drop my luggage in the room before heading out for some tea. When I arrived I was told it was 3pm. Not very inconvenient admittedly but there were 6 people checking in at the same time and the receptionist put us all in adjacent rooms. This for me felt very uncomfortable and he was very unempathetic. - the room is sooo basic. Very studenty (which is maybe the point) No Kettle. One plug socket and no where near the mirror for hairdryer use etc - quite noisy from c 7pm onwards from other people staying. I didn’t feel safe. I locked the door from the inside and had the window open as much as possible as there is a general old musty smell around the whole hotel."

I was initially quite worried about what my experience would be like but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would highly recommend.
