Super 8 by Wyndham Clearfield

Im prefacing this review by stating I made this reservation in the middle of August through Wyndham Rewards and have yet to receive my deposit back.. Im a traveling nurse and get Rewards through my job as well ad through Wyndham. Super8 is the only motel in my area that is run by Wyndham.. So when I was on the phone with Wyndhams main number, setting up my hotel for the night, I told them about this Super8 not allowing anyone there who has an address from the local area. The man on the phone said, ,no I wouldn't have a problem. Later to find out, they (Super8) attempted to cancel my hotel room without ever even calling and contacting me, I attempted to get it back with my confirmation number sent via email and they finally said I could stay, only if I paid an extra $100 for my room as a deposit. Super8 said it was because of random people trashing the room. In my personal opinion, I don't believe I should have paid $100 deposit due to residing in the same area as hotel.I also never got my money back that I put down for deposit. No damages. Nothing stolen. Only late check out ($25 fee). Im a nurse that was just looking for a room that evening with my fiancé. Its absolutely uncalled for and sounds like discrimination to me..

I probably would have given this hotel a 4 star except I had problems with the AC all weekend. It was either too cold or you couldn't run it at all. The room card didn't work the 2nd day but that isn't too big of a deal. There were a couple of places in the room that had patchwork done to it but there was no effort to repaint those repairs which wouldn't have taken that much of an effort.

This establishment was wonderful Mr Patel helped me make my trip Easy by changing my dates not only once but twice I had a breakdown and needed my dates moved up and he got it done for me not only once but twice. We got there our reservation was ready we got some sleep and we got back to our journey thank you Mr Patel and everyone there thank you

The front desk person was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and very comfortable. Definitely a positive experience!

Great Staff

The property was extremely clean. The ice machine was broken, but they were working on it.
