Marjorie's Kauai Inn

What a wonderful stay! Jen and Jim absolutely "made" the trip fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful in ways you would not even expect. No request was too big for them. And the breakfasts!! Wow! Delicious, healthy and beautifully presented -- what a way to wake up. We stayed in the Sunset View room with the hot tub, and it was the best tub we have ever experienced -- also it was mounted perfectly so you didn't have to get off the floor to get out nor needed a ladder to get in. Thank you so very much for making our stay special!

Marjorie's Kauai Inn is wonderful in so many ways. We stayed in the Valley View room that has a porch/lanai that overlooks an amazing rain forest valley. Every morning we sat out there and watched the birds and the sunrise. Often we were treated to a rainbow. The room was delightful. But the best of all were the people and the food they prepared. The breakfasts were gourmet quality, with only the freshest local ingredients. Jim the chef was excellent. And when we wasn't cooking, Alexis (the owner) was. Amazing food. Mike (the other owner) was also great. Friendly, helpful and working hard to keep things beautiful. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Our 6 nights in this paradise were a highlight of our 2 weeks in Hawaii! We were fortunate to meet Alexis and Mike and Jim and Jenn! Breakfast each day was superb and we greatly appreciated the snacks and lunch items for our road trips each day. We had the Valley View room and our lanai was amazing for our morning coffee, several dinners, and evening cocktails! We even got a sighting of a Pueo owl flying by our lanai. The driveway is tricky but manageable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the B&B. Room (Tradewinds) was clean and very well appointed. The view from the lanai couldn't be beat! Veronica's breakfasts were always delicious and fresh. They made sure we had everything we needed for a boat trip so we didn't have to pack things like beach towels, which was appreciated. My only minor comment is the bathroom could use a little facelift/TLC. Also note: the bed was very, very soft (one of those plush foam beds) so if you require a firmer mattress just be advised (we do not but just a comment in case that's a concern for you).

We selected Marjorie's Inn based on the positive Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Located in a tranquil position about 30 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the beach, the Inn provides a stunning view over the Lawai valley. Alexis and Mike are great hosts; they gave us a very warm welcome and provided excellent advice as regards what to see and where to eat. Moreover, Alexis is a great cook and provided a sumptuous breakfast each morning made using fresh, local produce. In addition to home-made pastries and bread, she provided a delicious entrée each day. Alexis also encouraged us to take food for later in the day either from the breakfast area or the well stocked fridge located in the basement. Our room was spacious and had a long, wide balcony over-looking the valley. We sat there in the evenings as the sun set and on clear nights were treated to a wonderful array of stars. If you want a traditional B&B in Kauai with great hosts, delicious food and located in a wonderful setting, then you could do no better than Marjorie's Inn. Thank you Alexis and Mike.

This three room BnB has a nice location with lovely views from the large lanai. Alexis is seriously personable and fun and kind and the best chef we've encountered at any BnB with a huge breakfast spread that is second to none--home made pastries often only attempted by a French pastry chef, meat, cheese, fruit, juice, a hot dish and so so much more. We LOVED the snacks & sandwich makings in the fridge and enjoyed dinner on our gorgeous lanai twice. The room itself was fine, but the kitchenette and bathroom need updating. The only issue was parking --this is the steepest driveway known to man and despite being granted permission to park at the bottom in the carport, three out of the four times we parked things were a touch messed up.
