Hotel Sud Est by Fam Rossetti ★★★

"Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is beautiful from the outside, including the reception area. The rooms, however, leave much to be desired. The furniture is dated (too dated), and there's no minibar (which wouldn't hurt in the summer, especially with these temperatures, even for chilling water or fruit). Room cleanliness leaves much to be desired: endless dust, including fluff floating around. I left my baby barefoot and regretted it (he had black feet, and we take our shoes off outside for hygiene reasons). The bathroom was recently redone, small but functional, even though we were surrounded by a large ant infestation. The air conditioning system was very unusual: we had to ask reception to turn it on. Around midnight, for some reason, it turned off, and we had to go and ask them to turn it on (there's no contact number from the room). Also quite unusual is the fact that we couldn't adjust the power or temperature in the room (or maybe we were just unlucky). The number of dogs in the building was excessive, with annoying barking until midnight: 30pm in our hallway, as if it were right next to our room. If you're a fan of dust or pet hair, this isn't the case! The breakfast was decent. The beach we have a special agreement with is beautiful and nearby, but the sea in that area was rather dirty and murky. I recommend staying somewhere else for the nice water."

"My wife and I stayed at Blu Hotel in July 2026. Our room was clean and quiet, and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Lavagna and from the beach, and the neighbouring town of Chiavari is also within easy walking distance. I loved that we didn’t need to hire a car — it’s easy to explore other coastal towns by train, which stops in Lavagna, a 10-minute walk from the hotel."

"We stayed as a group. When we asked to move a table to ours to dine with another group we'd just met and were chatting with, we were told no, that 51 out of 50 places had been set and that moving a table would be a hassle. I repeat: a hassle. People also go out to meet new people. Eating together is conviviality; if I'm deprived of it by those who are supposed to sell this service, it's not right... After dinner, we stayed to chat. I wanted to ask for a coffee and a liqueur and continue chatting, but, politely, we were told we had to leave the room, which was being set for the next day... Every request was a hassle... a hassle."

"Keskusta noin 850 metriä, sain asemalta jalan. Asetuin aiemmin, huone oli puhdas, parveke, puhdisti tytöt päivittäin, vaihtoi pyyhkeet tarvittaessa. Aamiainen on kaunis.Henkilökunta on ihana.Meri on viileä, rannat ovat ilmaisia, ihmiset eivät ole paljon.Pieni galloppi ja hiekka, heti menee syvään. "Kaunis hotelli, lähellä rantaa ja tarpeeksi kaukana junaradalta eivät kuule niitä yöllä. Aamiainen oli 5 euroa henkilöä, mutta oli myös hyvin perustavaa laatua. Omistaja ei puhunut englantia, mutta oli erittäin ystävällinen ja yritti ymmärtää."

Excellent location a few meters from the beach and shops and restaurants. I took advantage of the very convenient internal parking. What can I say? Recommended"
