When we asked to move a table to ours to dine with another group we'd just met and were chatting with, we were told no, that 51 out of 50 places had been set and that moving a table would be a hassle. I repeat: a hassle. People also go out to meet new people. Eating together is conviviality; if I'm deprived of it by those who are supposed to sell this service, it's not right... After dinner, we stayed to chat. I wanted to ask for a coffee and a liqueur and continue chatting, but, politely, we were told we had to leave the room, which was being set for the next day... Every request was a hassle... a hassle."
