Haylie Hotel

Just had an excellent 2 nights stay at this wee gem for a friends wedding at Kelburn Castle. Great staff, beautiful room with sea views & and an outstanding breakfast. We do this job for a living, so we understand what it takes & you guys do an amazing job. Thanks again, and we’ll definitely return 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

wonderful 4 days made to feel so welcome . my husband has parkinsons and it can be difficult getting the right accomodation but it was perfect. all staff when really nice especially alan whose food was fabulous. really enjoyed our holiday in largs. margaret @jim milligan

We arrived for a special family meal, a bit of nostalgia and probably for the last time. We were gobsmacked and totally in 2 minds whether to stay after our horrendous welcome. We had our pooch. We had looked on the website , which made it clear dogs are welcome. We did try to call the hotel many times during the day to make sure it was OK as the evening was special. However, we were reprimanded by 2 members of staff who didn’t hold back shouting and making us feel so unwelcome and embarrassed. This totally marred the whole evening. Surely a little tolerance and kindness would have gone a long way. But our evening was spoilt by the manager and a female member of staff who could have dealt with the whole situation differently. I advise them to change their website and review their welcome and pitbull like attitudes.

Was here on Friday with my sister after work , we both got starters and main, both were amazing, and portion size definitely great value for money ... The staff were lovely.. View was amazing , only downfall was the decor and how dark it was , would have liked a bit more light

brought my fiancée to Largs for her birthday break away, Allan the owner and his staff, are great, polite, helpful, can't do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. the food is amazing, breakfast selection is great, fruit and yogurt, cereal and a cooked breakfast, and evening meals are amazing, I had the best rare steak in a long time. also food made fresh air n premises so with menu content you could have any variation of the meals and Allan and his staff would oblige. amazing wee hotel. and only 15min walk along the front to Largs town centre. and for Andria's birthday meal we had it at the hotel and the staff helped to make it a romantic atmosphere with background music and Andria got a candle in her desert for her birthday which we thought was a little vely touch room was basic but can't fault, had a wee. longe with fridge freezer and TV. also TV in bedroom, definitely value for money and my fiancée had a great birthday helped made great staying at Haylie Hotel. and best be t they allow dogs so oor Benji came too lol deffo recommend.Very happy with our stay

Have been there a few times to eat, and every time is better than before. Staff greet you on arrival before being taken to your table. There are 2 eating areas, a main dining room and a beautiful sun room with a large window looking out to the water. Drinks quickly ordered and brought. The food menu has plenty to offer. If you like steak, then the steak sizzler is a must, anything from 4 oz- 20 oz! and is cooked to perfection. It's very well priced. I would say book so as not to be disappointed .
