Apartamentos LIVVO Las Gaviotas

We had a very unfortunate experience during our holiday stay in Las Gaviotas apartments. This is a warning to anyone staying there. If you rent a safe, make sure to put everything, and I mean everything of value in it when you go out, and don't forget. Apparently, we found out later, there are any number of keyholders with access to your apartment. We went out for the day locking up as you do behind you but we forgot to lock everything in the safe. We returned much later, and only then we discovered that some jewellery items were missing. There was no forced entry or break in and apartment had been cleaned in our absence. We reported the theft to reception and to the Police, but apart from an apology from the manager that was it! All we have to show for it is a police report, goodbye jewellery, lesson learned, we know that this could have happened anywhere but this is a first for us. The police by the way made a real effort but.....

We stayed at Livvo Las Gaviotas in January and had a great stay. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly and efficiently. We stayed in a superior apartment, in block 3, which was very clean and had most things needed for a self catering stay. We emailed in advance a few requests, all of which were accommodated, this made our stay more enjoyable. We have already booked for next year and would definitely recommend this complex.

Recently returned from 10 nights at Las Gaviotas, our 5th time at least. The apartments/bungalows are rated 3 star but don't let that put you off they are really good. They are clean, and have everything you need for a self catering stay. f you book a superior apartment you get your own private sunbeds and each area has its own swimming pool, ideal for children. We stayed in area 3 which has its own snack bar serving drinks, coffee and snacks. Nothing is too much trouble, we asked for additional pillows and they arrived within an hour. Reception staff are very approachable and multi lingual; they will help you with your spanish if you are brave enough. The apartments are cleaned 5 times a week and towels changed twice. The cleaning staff are good, ours sang all the time! Matagorda is the quiet end of Puerto del Carmen and has its own commercial centre with bars and restaurants. Would recommend this property for couples and families.

The apartments here are really nice. Fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom and nice sized living area. Everywhere was clean and towels were changed regularly. Shower was good, balcony area is a good size and totally private. We could see the sea from our room. The food was ok, something for everyone, you wouldn't go hungry. Bit noisy of a morning as a lot of people were there for just bed and breakfast and it got quite crowded. The restaurant could do with a bit of an uplift and re-design as it looked more like a canteen and I believe this is something currently under review. The entertainment room of an evening didn't have much atmosphere although it was only January so can't comment on what it's like later in the season. The entertainment itself was hit and miss but I suppose it depends on what you like. It's a 10 minute walk down to the beach area with bars and restaurants. You need to go out of the gate at the back of the hotel by the pool with the little bridge over it. You can have a nice little walk along the prom. All in all, a nice time was had by us all and as it's so near to the airport there's no travelling for hours when your flight has landed.

We had such a lovely stay here couldn’t recommend it more. The rooms are so nice and spacious and it is based right on the sea front just 2 minutes away from lots of bars and restaurants to get a bite to eat. It is lovely and peaceful the pool is like your own private pool most of the time. The staff are extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed. We were here for 3 nights and cleaners came every day, it is very clean and well looked after. Perfect place to come for a nice getaway. The only downfall is the bar not being open on saturday and sunday although the shops, bars and restaurants are so close it’s hardly an issue.

1 bed bungalow in area 8. (34) no issues with stairs or hills would be fine for people with mobility issues. Nothing fancy but clean tidy and has everything you need, however would benefit from extra coat hangers. The fridge worked great. Local for the commercial centre just a few minutes walk and beach almost on the doorstep. Pool area is very nice . We went at a quiet time, always able to get a sunbed. Staff very nice. Would definitely return due to the locality.
