Talland Bay Hotel, Looe

This is one of the most stunning hotels we have ever stayed in. It’s so magical . What sets this hotel apart from others is its amazing creative spirit and quirkiness, it does feel like you’re escaping the world for a few days . At every turn in the hotel and gardens there are touches of magic and inspiration which make you feel like you are in an Alice in Wonderland adventure . All this has the backdrop of the fantastic Cornish coast.. the views are spectacular . We really enjoyed our walks along the SW coastal path to Polperro and Looe . Our room was the gorgeous Mayfair which had a wonderful balcony with fabulous views and a hot tub which was such a treat for us. What made it all the more special was when we found that it was the same room that we had been in for our honeymoon suite in 1984! The hotel has changed hugely since then so we couldn’t be sure it was the same room until we spoke to Jack, the manager. The food is exquisite, we loved every meal we had in the beautiful restaurant. Thank you so much to Glen and his team. The desserts were divine! My favourite was the Sea Buckthorn Posset! I’ve never tasted anything quite like it.. it was visually stunning and I savoured every mouthful.. amazing! All the staff were wonderful and so welcoming . Special thanks to Jack , the brilliant manager of this magical hotel and Penny who has created something that is truly special. Thank you everyone … we’ll be back!

A friendly, relaxed hotel with some quirky and fun artwork. The staff were attentive, the food was superb and views from the restaurant and grounds across the bay all made for a memorable stay.

I am a private carer in my community. I had a client who suffered a dreadful accident. Providing care etc . Sunday lunch Talland bay hotel agreed to a takeaway meal for this client. With thanks to the hotel enabling me to provide a fist class service to a client . To the chef jack who worked with me in order to collect the meal . Made my job easier and stress free . Client enjoyed a fabulous service from this hotel . A fabulous takeaway . I thank you Talland bay . Your awesome.
