Alabaster Box certainly is doing something right! Besides the home being immaculately kept, the service is top notch.
Upon entering my room I was met with the most beautiful scent of sandalwood. A small fridge, and kettle were available for my snacks and tea. The shower was absolutely amazing, and much needed after a long car ride!
The balcony even had views of the lagoon. There’s a serene koi pond in the back, and pool as well.
Most of all, I felt safe as a solo female. May God bless this home. 10/10.

Poor services and facility amenities AlabasterBox
For a 4- star rated accommodation, the facility's service and amenities was way below par. The room had NO extra blanket (it was cold at night), NO toiletries and NO coffee and tea and milk available in the room. The latter despite the room being advertised as having milk, coffee and tea will be available in the room. There was ample time to get the room ready as the host Dominique had phoned to confirm the booking before arrival. I had indicated that arrival would be about 2 hours from the time of the telephone call confirmation, yet the room was not ready upon arrival.

This guesthouse is truly lovely, well priced, nicely situated and run by the sweetest couple. Lynn and Stan really went above and beyond to make our stay special. They helped us with places to go see, eat at and sight see. The guesthouse is well situated with a view of the lagoon and your nightly rate includes a delicious breakfast. The dish that starts off the breakfast is my new favourite dish. Have a look at the photo. Thank you Lynn and Stan for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

I can't fault anything. We were greeted by lovely hosts; the rooms were immaculate, and the breakfast was delicious and perfectly prepared.

Everything was up to standard, host was very friendly and allowed one to feel at home although during winter it would be advised that rooms either have heaters or electric blankets.

We were not welcomed , we were spied on the host was very racist , she wanted us out of the house , she threatened to kick us out for not following the rules but the rules were not told to us , I would not recommend going

So me and my family booked to the Alabaster Box for Xmas day 2022, we paid 50% deposit on the first week of December. We got there early on the day and we were turned away...understandably since check-in is at 2 o clock. When we arrived later on, they were just off mood and unwelcoming and unpleasant not caring about us but the money. The owner/host of the house didn't even come down to greet or welcome us since we've booked 5 rooms which by the way are ridiculously priced; even the receptionist was unwelcoming just wanted to get everything over and done with. Later on the night we were asked to play the music at a lower volume and we did you could only hear the music in the living room, only then did the host show herself and was rude and a bit racist showing fully that they were spying on us. The day there was just unpleasant. The next day the murmurs and secret talks showed that they were also gossiping about u...don't even wanna get started on the breakfast, was just terrible. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY TYPE OF OCCASION!!!!!!! BAD SERVICE!!!!
