When you first arrive at Taufua Beach Fales you are greeted by friendly staff, amazing views of the beach and absolute bliss!! We had a group of 11 for one night. A fale stay is an absolute must when visiting Samoa. We opted for closed fales this time but the open fales are just as comfortable. Local food was amazing and there’s plenty to go around!! Plenty of opportunity for swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing on the shore. We will definitely be back!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Taufua beach fale. It must be one of the most beautiful locations in Samoa. The beach and sea are heavenly. It has a great vibe and we enjoyed getting to know the staff. Breakfast and dinner are served at long shared tables and it was an unexpected highlight meeting and talking to other guests at mealtimes. We had emailed before booking to see whether they could cater to vegan diets and they happily did. The food was simple and delicious. I would 100% return to this little piece of paradise.

This was our first time staying at Taufua and it was exceptional! To anyone visiting Samoa, you must stay here! We sadly only had 2 nights but will definitely come back and stay for longer. If you are there on a Wednesday or Saturday, there is dancing which was a ton of fun. Additionally, all of the meals are served family style which was a great way to meet lots of other travelers not to mention the food was filling and delicious! Highly recommend this place for the unique experience and their hospitality!

Don’t look any further, that’s the place to be on Upolu. At first sight, the Fales are a bit too close to each other and a bit too close to the road. But the awesomeness of the place will unfold soon: the food is among the best you can get along the south coast (try the Samoan poke!!!), snorkeling and swimming is pretty good and spending a few nights in the open fale is quite an experience. What else? We were extremely surprised when the hosts made all of us guests sit together on a long table for breakfast and dinner (what about privacy on our vacation?!), BUT this turned out being an awesome bonding-experience with all the other guests as you immediately start chatting and share more than just the usual “where are you from?, how long in Samoa?” The dancing/show night at first felt a little tacky, but after having experienced an island show in Apia afterwards, we are so much more grateful of the experience at Taufua Beach Fales. Faavetai lava!

What a rude horrible place that ruins the good name of the Samoan people. Came to spend the day at the beach happy to pay to use it, as I was aware I needed to. Wasn’t allowed to just pay to use the beach though, was forced into buying food and drink as well. I accepted that despite not wanting anything, however when I went to order the food the rude arrogant woman who served me was nothing short of horrible and lacked any customer service skills at all. Repeated my order to her five times as she wasn’t listening and kept telling off the other staff while I was talking to her. Was told she couldn’t serve me alcohol as I was only visiting and not staying, which I was completely fine with and happily ordered a soft drink instead …. Only for the people behind me in the queue to say they also weren’t staying and she happily served them both beer. They came over and offered to get me one as they had heard what happened, however I turned this down as not to break the rules. Not sure how that works though as different rules seem to apply to different people! Overpriced, awful food, that was definitely not fresh and was nearly inedible. The ONLY good thing about this place is the beautiful beach … sadly this is spoilt by the people running it!! If they don’t want tourists visiting, that’s fine, but just don’t let them in if that’s the case! Won’t be returning and will happily spend my money on another beach that actually treats people with some respect! First experience in Samoa where the people have been awful … everywhere else they are friendly and helpful!
