Disney's BoardWalk Inn

It’s a good hotel, but only because of the location. Epcot and Hollywood Studios are close by and can be reached on foot. The big issue is the lack of places to eat nearby. The rooms are clean and adequate, but vastly overpriced. So there are pros and cons to staying here.

Boardwalk is in a great location. We used it as a base for a conference happening at Swan/Dolphin. Took about 8 minutes to Dolphin and I'm not a fast walker. The proximity to Epcot can't be beat. We walked there several times for the food/wine festival. The boats are also an option but we didn't feel like waiting to snag one. The Boardwalk hotel is clean and more upscale than the other resorts I have stayed in. There were a lot of high quality sit-down restaurants nearby. I was disappointed by the lack of places to fill up a resort mug. You have to go outside and down to the Deli for this option. Perhaps they don't expect guests at a higher quality hotel to want that option? I personally look to save some money where I can and love the beverage refills. The Boardwalk had some quick service options out on the Boardwalk itself. This included pizza, deli, corn dogs, etc. The quiet pools were just that and a fantastic place to relax. If you don't mind having less of the character theming and plan to do sit down meals this could be a great choice for you. The garden suites looked amazing with their little fenced off areas.

Check in process was fluid. Our room was actually ready early which was very convenient. We stayed on the Villas side. Comfortable beds, although the air vent blew directly on the single pull out twin bed which made it hard for my son to get comfortable at night. Excellent location with walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Biggest complaint was the cleaning service. They would I consistently come in and clear our room of dirty washcloths and towels but then not replace them. I had to request for towels and a replenishment of the plates/bowls and coffee multiple times. Definitely frustrating not to have towels available after a very long day at the parks.

Virtually zero food options at the resort. One tiny coffee shop with days old limited selections. You have to go outside to the Boardwalk area for anything. There are no options for refillable mugs. Stayed at most Deluxe but never here again.

On the first day of our stay , a man from housekeeping entered my room at 3 p.m. unannounced with the do not disturb sign on the door. While my wife and I were sleeping . When I got up he asked if I needed anything then left the room. When I made a complaint with the concierge he asked what time would be better for him to come in . Following day they sent a manager to go through my room . Me complaining about a man entering was taken as I was hiding something. I understand they have safety concerns and need to enter rooms. This just isn't the way to go about . Universal will see my money from now on

The rooms are clean and spacious. It’s super convenient in terms of location and distance to the park. But Disney resorts are not what you would expect from Disney experience or service. No one in the hotel at concierge and no one that is there can answers simple questions as to where or when the transport- boats go and the timing. None of the hotels have room service except for the grand Floridian. For over 400 a night I would expect room service available.

We have stayed there a couple times with our grownup kids and we all love it! The location next to Epcot is unbeatable. The building itself is beautiful and the newly renovated rooms are fantastic. The last time we stayed there they gave us a room in the quiet area. It was perfect! Located in the first floor with doors giving access to the garden, fountain and the quiet pool. The only downside is that it is pricey, but if you can splurge, do not hesitate and stay at The Boardwalk!

My daughter and I stayed for several days in May. Our room was very large with a small balcony overlooking the resorts. It was so relaxing, especially after a day in the parks. Short walk to Epcot and great vibe on the Boardwalk with several great food options. We are from the Indianapolis area and can attest to the deliciousness that the CakeBake Shop will bring when it opens. The pool area was also great! We enjoyed it every afternoon.

We've visited Disney's Boardwalk many times, it's definitely one of our very favorite resorts in Disney, but this time it was extra special. We try to stay at least one or 2 nights club level when we go, and this last trip was simply amazing. When we checked in we told Stephanie and Cathy in the club concierge area that it was our daughter's birthday, I asked them to charge me for balloons in the room. Instead, they went above and beyond to make Aubree's 10th birthday awesome. I wanted to give a shout out here to them to thank them again for everything they did for us. The boardwalk club lounge is the best on property. The food selection is a little better than most, but really it's the staff that goes the extra mile to ensure the best experience while you're there. Lorenzo and the staff are all so attentive and friendly and they always remember us when we return. Matthew the manager does a great job conversing with guests and attending to requests. The entire staff of cast members in concierge is just awesome. If you visit, you'll have to keep an eye out for the Fonz=) If you know, you know. See you next time Boardwalk crew!
