The hotel really doesn't open until 5pm, as we found when we got there at 4.50pm and everywhere was deserted. Also, the restaurant wasn't open on Sundays, the day we got there. Both issues our own fault for not checking properly. However the staff were very friendly and the room was good, if a little on the small side. Everything you might need was available including getting us a pichet of wine when we finally checked in. There was a pizza restaurant fairly close by which was fine for dinner, as the restaurant wasn't open, and the breakfast was very good at the hotel.

I’d stay again! Great hotel with good service and English-speaker on staff (in case your French is minimal). Yummy dinner, good breakfast buffet. GREAT views over Chinon

Beautiful hotel with magnificent view, very nice staff

This hotel is located on a quiet hill with a beautiful view, a great place for an overnight stay during a trip, or a weekend get away to some peaceful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is abundant with freshly baked pastries. Strongly recommended! Definitely will stay again if passing here again in future.

We booked this hotel as an overnight stay while travelling further south and it was a great choice. Hotel Imago has a charming new owner who is very keen to carry on the great reputation of this hotel. The position of the hotel is wonderful with great views of surrounding countryside. Our room was on the ground floor with a small and quite private terrace. The room itself was compact but not tiny. Comfortable bed and great shower. The weather was glorious we were able to dine on the terrace and the 3 course menu had a good choice and was delicious. All in all a great stopover.

Ourselves and 7 other couples stayed at the hotel for a week. Despite only owning the hotel for a short while, Stephan, our host, was very welcoming and professional. The rooms were spacious and very clean with very comfortable beds. We were very grateful for the air conditioning as the temperature soared to 30 degrees. The balconies from all the rooms have fabulous views across the valley towards Chinon. The on site restaurant serves typical French cuisine of a high standard, the breakfast is continental freshly baked on the premises. We stayed as a Lotus car club, so safe parking is very important to us which the hotel provided. We can't praise hotel Imago enough and is a perfect hotel for any car club visiting the Loire region. We will return.

Équipe au top merci à elle chambre juste superbe avec cette vue incroyable, un sentiment d’être à la montagne . Je n’ai jamais eus un petit déjeuner aussi bien présenter et varié la personne qui s’en occupe en plus d’être super sympa géraz ça super bien .

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel et tout était parfait. La chambre était très propre, bien équipée et confortable. L’accueil a été chaleureux, avec un personnel aux petits soins. L’emplacement est calme, idéal pour se détendre loin du bruit. Le dîner en trois plats était absolument délicieux, et le petit déjeuner continental, très bien servi, offrait un bon choix de produits frais et locaux. Et cerise sur le gâteau : les chiens sont admis ! Un vrai plus pour les voyageurs accompagnés. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
