Esencia de La Palma by Princess - Adults Only

Pools are great, food very good, whole experience very good. Half boarders should be allowed their 1st drink in the evening free. Feather pillows as a choice would have been good. The only choice we had was foam pillows. We didn't like plates of leftovers at the collection points

Nous avons séjourné une semaine à l'hôtel Princess, côté Esencia, adults only. L'hôtel est très beau, très propre et très calme. La literie est parfaite, les repas buffets très copieux, quoique assez répétitifs. L'hôtel étant complètement isolé, il faut prévoir la location d'une voiture pour visiter l'île. Un point négatif : le bar, à cette période de l'année en tout cas, ferme à 18h00, ce qui est beaucoup trop si l'on a par exemple envie de prendre un petit apéritif avant le repas du soir ... ou un dernier rafraichissement avant d'aller dormir.

A lovely relaxing stay. Not busy. Great food. Friendly staff. Large room with balcony and bathroom with shower and bath. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. Facilities are great. Lots of choice of activities. Good choice of food and very helpful with a gluten free diet. Only the main restaurant was open but worthwhile paying the supplement for a meal at the adults only venue. Loved the live piano music nightly in the reception/bar area. Other entertainment in evening not always to our taste.

We were at The Princess on an AI basis for 7 days. Transfer: 45 mins by coach arranged by Tui. This was seamless. Check in: Extra staff were on hand so our wait was not too long. We happy to take our luggage to our room ourselves but help was available if required. Room: We had a sea view first floor room with balcony. Close to thebpols and Origen restaurant. We thought probably worth paying extra for this view and position. Comfortable bed and bedding. Not always sufficient hot water but if you waited an hour it had warmed by then. Food and drink: The Food Market is capacious and has a good offer but we chose to use Origen for our stay. Smaller and more intimate. Very good standard of food. We were a little disappointed with the drinks offer. The range of drinks was limited and wines were usually on tap. This needs to be reviewed by the hotel. Even the premium AI didn't seem particularly good as you still need to pay a supplement for non house wine. Facilities: We didn't use the pools but did use the Relax Area and the sauna and steam room which were particularly good when it was a little wet and windy outside. Some brave souls did swim. The whole property was clean and well maintained. Entertainment: There was something on everyday and the team tried hard to involve the guests. Staff: Uniformly excellent. Particularly in the Coral Bar - Fran and Mare were standout in this regard. Ray the rep also helpful and welcome lecture useful. Spa: Looked good but we didn't use it. Excursion: We did the round island trip with Khun as our guide. His knowledge is encyclopedic. Long day but worth it. Overall: We went to the Princess to 'fly and flop' which is what we did. Little to complain about. And we met some lovely people there. Would recommend.

Die Anlage war super, sauber, gepflegt und die Zimmer im Esencia-Bereich alle modern restauriert. das Essen war gut, auch im Food Market konnte man in Ruhe seine Mahlzeit im Adult Only-Bereich zu sich nehmen. Es fehlt im Esencia Bereich eine Bar, wo man abends in Ruhe den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Die große Bar an der Rezeption ist abends sehr voll und es vermischen sich die Töne der Diskothek, des Pianisten und des großen TV mit englischem Fußball miteinander, Gespräche sind so kaum möglich.

I actually stayed at the La Palma Princess Hotel which is next to the Adult only Hotel Essencia. This is my third stay, last in 2019. The hotel has been refurbished and the Essencua built. In the main restaurant Essencia guests went to a separate area to be seated. No children . But as l went in January there were only babies and non school children on our side and to be honest,,were all very well behaved . I felt they enhanced my stay! The hotel rooms pools (one was heated and fab aqua aerobics) and all inclusive are still amazing value . Definitely 4* , in my opinion 4.5*. And the weather was fantastic, 7 days of sun, 19/18o at night - 20/21..”feels like 24 “ a couple of days. We did the NE tour incl rum distillery, so met German guide Rudi again. Lovely day and great coach driver - very smooth journey. And Whale watching at Tazacorte. Third trip, in small boat/ meal.. sticks to the coast ( saw whales and dolphins 2018) bigger boat , wales and dolphins no food 2019) and Fancy this trip saw pilot wales/ take away meal and drink … 2.5 hours , felt a bit sea sick so didn’t eat on boat! Lovely crew. Tui guides helpful. Fab journey home was a 737-800 think… v smooth . Great flight and cabin crews. 16.1.25.
