Bahiazul Resort Fuerteventura

This was our first attempt at the Villa vacation but not all out as it was within a complex and we did the B&B option. On first impressions the place looked to be immaculate and well maintained on the face of things. Staff are all friendly. Pretty soon the realisation kicks in as the villa is serviced once a week, in our case 4 days before towels were swapped out and the floors were cleaned etc, again the young lady doing so was friendly and thorough so no complaints there, only with the infrequent towel change. The pool is also done on the same day. The upsetting thing on this is that the following day there was a storm that has left the pool and patio area unusable and despite requesting that they come clean it again, their response was “Doubtful as there are 90 Villa’s with the same issue”. This is our last day ruined with that lack of empathy. No option of late checkout either as guess what, they need to clean the place for the next rental. We fully understand that bad weather is beyond their control but to just offhandedly reject a request was just poor in our opinion. The villa itself is pretty decent if just a little dated but it does have everything you would require for a self catering vacation. The pool in the villa is probably the most rundown looking of the entire place but again still usable, that is unless you come up against storms.

A wonderful villa with private pool, hot tub and rooftop terrace. The location just outside Corralejo is ideal. 45 min walk or 10 min taxi into the middle of town. The staff are so friendly and the place was kept spotless inside and out. We booked via Jet2, so the villa was owned by the complex. Some are privately owned and rented out directly so I can’t speak for those. Each villa has a private parking spot and there are two large supermarkets close by.

I have been some tired hotels/villas but the Bahiazul is fast asleep where tiredness is concerned stuck in 1990-2000 era with poor canvass artwork on the dirty walls to the grubby furniture the LUXE Bahiazul had the lot, damp underneath the bathroom sink mop & brush hanging behind the toilet door, paint peeling off the pool outside as well as the inside on the bedroom ceiling, cockroach on the kitchen work top when I got up in the morning at 7am had already made my mind up was going home before I had seen that, paid €82 euros for a lukewarm buffet in a tired restaurant, building work going on across the road, this place really does over sell itself the pictures are amazing the place is not £ 2000 + for 2nights we got there Sunday 23rd March & left Tuesday morning, over priced & sold as a top place to stay, the staff were very polite and happy to help, but the management who looks after the accommodation/villas ought to be ashamed of themselves
