We stayed at Albir Garden Resort and found the overall experience to be fairly average. The hotel facilities and rooms were perfectly fine – clean, functional, and suitable for a family break. However, we struggled quite a bit with the food, particularly for our 8-year-old. The variety and quality just didn’t meet expectations, and we ended up eating out in Albir town more often than not, where the local restaurants thankfully offered plenty of good options. The all-inclusive cocktail selection was also disappointing compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at. It felt limited and lacked the quality or variety we’re used to seeing with all-inclusive packages. That said, the lifeguards were a real positive – attentive, alert, and clearly well-trained. We saw them spring into action a couple of times, reacting instantly when anyone looked like they might be struggling. It gave us confidence when using the pool facilities. Our youngest thoroughly enjoyed the mini onsite waterpark. The evening entertainment was completely aimed at The Faroese who had a large group visiting the same week as us so not to our taste. All in all, not a bad stay – but not one we’d be in a rush to return to. Average at best, with some room for improvement.
