Altinkaya Holiday Resort

I am a regular visitor to this hotel and have always loved it. However this time we had my 91 year old mother with us and I was concerned by the challenges this might bring. But we were all blown away by the care provided- Melissa at the helm as ever but my mother was taken by wheelchair everywhere she needed to be with warmth, charm, humour and care and respect. We never had to worry if we popped out and left her and I now have so much respect for the wonderful team at the Altinkaya. Thank you all so much.

My family and I stayed at the hotel for a week. We felt like home. We would recommend it to everyone. The staff is very friendly and helps to solve any question or problem. Breakfast is simple, a little boring after a week. There are good restaurants nearby for dinner. Conveniently, there is an outside bar open all day serving drinks and food. The prices are not very high. The rooms are neat, have a refrigerator, air conditioner. Some bathrooms are newly renovated. Pools with sunbeds are comfortable, a beautiful oasis of plants has been created outside, so you don't feel like the street is nearby. The only thing to keep in mind is that the sea is quite far away, so it is more convenient to have a rented car or go with a taxi (depending on the beach, the price is about 10 EUR one way).

It’s hard to know where to start … our first time in Cyprus, Dad has been coming here for years, it was instantly obvious why he has been back so many times! Melissa, you are beautiful, what an absolutely wonderful lady you are, we love you loads already and no wonder everyone just loves coming back ❤️ To be honest every single member of the team made our stay amazing. The other guests were just amazing and we met so many lovely people, you know who you are 😉 We had some group nights out, which have never done before but the people here were just so lovely we really wanted to spend time with them x Thank you Altinkaya and everyone who works there for the most beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable holiday ever, we will most certainly see you again xxx

Hotel and rooms satisfactory. Evening meals terrible. An evening meal consists of one main dish usually either chicken bits or fish bits plus chips, pasta,rice or wheat,and some nondescript vegetable. All of which are warm but not hot. No other options . Never been to a hotel before that served such a poor selection of food.

For a hotel rated 3 star this place excels. The staff are very welcoming and friendly particularly Melissa in reception who will sort out any problems and advise on the locality. The bar area is very comfortable and as we were there in March the staff lit a lovely log fire in the lounge after dinner. The bar “ measures “ are on the generous side while the prices are startlingly low! Really recommend the Brandy Sours! The pool area is large and well maintained. There are a variety of different types of room-some modernisation is on going - ours was a large bedroom with walk in shower overlooking the pool. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily. We look forward to returning as this hotel is like a home from home !
